• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

My landlord just finished yelling at me. She came into the house and yelled out "get down here and talk to me!". I knew I was in for a rough ride.
The rent is late again and she wants her money badly. I told her I'm trying everything I can to get it but she wasn't hearing any of it.
She had a full meltdown. There were some small strips of fly paper on the wall. She ripped them off and yelled "get this out of my face!".
I had some cans of food in a cupboard which she literally threw down. She took one can and threw it down, another can and threw it down.
She yelled and even shrieked about getting her money. I had to calmly assure her that I was trying to get the money.
I told her that I have a brother that can help with the rent and that I'm trying to get in touch with him. She said my brother was a piece of shit (her exact words). I calmly and firmly told her not to mention my family in that way. I told her that our issues were between me and her. She backed down and apologized, then left.
I'm sort of proud of myself. I stood up for myself and my family. I didn't lose my cool.
The reason why I was able to remain level-headed was because of all the bad situations I had been through in the past. They trained me and made me stronger. This situation made me stronger as well. I refined my ability to remain calm. It was like a Dojo. My landlord came in with her negativity, swinging left and right, but I countered her attacks with my own techniques of calmness. All of this made me stronger.
This won't be the last negative situation I find myself in, but I know that I'll be able to handle the next one because this one made me stronger.
