• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Okay, so I did some research and I'm planning to try the full suspension hanging method soon. However, I've come across different answers about the positioning of the rope. I know the knot needs to be behind my neck, but I was wondering if it's alright to position the rope right underneath my chin (essentially as high up on the neck as possible). This seems like it would be easier for me, especially since I'm using padding. Or does it really need to be in a specific spot in order to lose consciousness?

I apologize if this is a silly question, but I genuinely didn't know much about this method or hanging yourself before I researched it.

Positioning the rope under your voice box could hurt or cause damage as you slip down and it tightens. To my understanding, you want the rope to be snugly at the top of your neck.

Of course! I believe this is only for fsh to keep the rope from yanking the voice box upwards as you drop

For partial, I've heard a lot of people say that the ligature being up high can make it hard to swallow and feel worse than lower below the voice box

I know that the goal in PSH is to compress the carotid arteries, so just to clarify, it's not necessary for the ligature to be placed in that spot during FSH? Or, in other words, it's still possible to lose consciousness if the ligature is placed at the very top of your neck?

Yes, with full suspension, a smooth/oiled or dishsoaped rope, and as long as your SI doesn't kick in and you try to hold yourself up and loosen the tension, you should be out anywhere from a few seconds up to 15-20 max I believe. I've watched hanging videos and the well executed ones are almost always out very quickly, they sometimes don't even react

Edit: If you haven't already, I really recommend going through the hanging mega threads to make sure you have the best chances
