the why doesn't really matter, but the short of it is I need to do this within the next 5 days. I can't go and get stuff for it, but I don't have much here that would work. anyone know methods using just simple household items I might have on hand? thanks

Rope, tie it into a slip knot, and find something to tie it around that can hold your weight that wont break/snap/giveway.
yeah that's what I was thinking, I know where I could tie it, but I actually don't have any rope. I've heard of people using other stuff like scarves or belts, but that seems like it'd break way easier
