• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

It seems like the political system in every country in the world is hellishly undesirable, and also accelerating downwards. Most countries have a cartoonishly villainous system of government where people are tortured and executed for stating their opinion or wearing the wrong clothes. Some of these countries are so dangerous that they spread this negative influence to the countries around them. But even "developed" countries are drooling at the thought of pushing more draconian laws that only help the people on top, and doing everything in their power to ensure that the most basic changes that would help people get stamped out as soon as possible. The goal is to ensure people are as close to 100% miserable and enslaved as close to 100% of the time as possible, and it's mostly working. Countries with "democratic" governments never fail to elect the most vile, predatory, spiteful and out of touch people to rule like monarchs, and in every country the majority of people fall for every trick in the book every single time. Even the most obvious tricks like covering up torture and abuse by saying you're protecting "vulnerable" people works every time, the people are too animalistically stupid to see they are being taken advantage of. The saddest part for me is if the government in some countries wasn't so hellbent to be villainous then the world would be a lot more bearable, some basic things now which seem almost impossible would be reasonable to achieve. But yet again terrible problems caused by existing in a world with other people who only wish to cause harm.

It's not so much the political systems which sicken me, it's the gobshite parasites who run them.

I know you are venting, so I kinda agree that the world sucks a lot indeed. But if you allow me to say my opinion, I'm not as pesimist. There are some good politicians that are trying their best. For example, in my country, I would say that some of the people in charge are good people who try to help their citizens, even if they are not powerful enough to do too much against the bad politicians and the lobbies.

There's also a problem with being "apolitical" and saying that all politicians are the same. If we think that the guy who loves billionaires and hates LGTB is as bad as the guy who is not doing enough to help us, and therefore we refuse to support any of them, then the first guy, who is being supported by lobbies, will always rule.

Something else, tho, is this new wave of far right politicians that are getting more power in the west. This is indeed horrible. And to be honest, it is one of the reasons I'm suicidal. But this is happening because the current system is in crisis, and after a crisis, something new is always born. Maybe it's a nuclear war that will ruin everything even more. But maybe a new better system will be born, with better democracies.

I don't know. But I think there is still a small spark of hope.

The leaders of this world have always been the worst people imaginable. Even in democratic systems, the sociopaths really don't have to try. They just say they want to help by fighting against the good side and they get elected every time. People are just too stupid, they can't see that it's wrong for them to vote someone who owns ten private islands in to rule that their slaves aren't allowed to die to escape this world. I mostly blame average people for the mess we have found ourselves in time and time again for many thousands of years. I don't know why so many people talk about the "abolition of slavery", as if that's an event that ever happened. It was just modernised and renamed and everyone was fooled as usual.
