  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I love differently then most. While someone might love a bf/husband, for me, they are just people that come and go from life. I dont really love them. I can say I love you but they are nothing more then empty words. However this doesn't mean I am incapable of love.

If I love you and mean it. Then you're family. You're someone that I know will love me for who I am and stay by my side even on my bad days. You're someone that I would put my life on the line for.

(might be edited. It doesn't feel complete)

You raise an interesting point. The word love can mean different things to different people. Our culture is saturated with the use of the word to touch on feelings of attraction, speculation, anticipation, and even lust.

One person may say, "I love you" and mean for the moment I feel an attraction, while another person mistakenly hears, "I want to spend my life with you".

The Greeks used three words translated love, Eros (erotic love), Philo (brotherly love), and Agape (self-sacrificing love). When we lump everyting into one word, it is understandable that there will be confusion.

I like what you say. It's how I personally feel about the word relationship. The word itself doesn't mean bf/gf, that's just one of the many types of relationships.

But what I'm specifically talking about here is that, I guess I like lack the ability to love. To me you're either family or a friend. There's no in between. (lack isnt the right word. i can love its just if i do then youre considered family, i wasnt quite sure what other word to put there though)

I actually specifically made this post for my husband and friend. They don't like each other and its tearing me apart. Sometimes I want to commit suicide just to get out from underneath it. But I decided that I'm not going to let something so stupid like 2 guys kill me. I'll live like a loner first.

Although thank you for getting me to explain it. I have BPD and one of the things about it is I think in black and white. There's no in between and I didnt make the connection between the way I love and my disorder until now. I just thought it was a me thing lol.

I'm like this, too. People I love just come and go. I have a hard time saying the words, because it always leads to heartache, but I fall in love all the time.

I love my animals. Can't say that about any humans though. 'i love you' has always been empty words for me because the right ones don't exist. I feel awful about it, likely hurt a lot of people along the way.

I also have bpd and the surge of emotions that come with new relationships, be it friendship or a sexual situation, I usually will say anything to make it stay. it never does though. the feelings will fade, which is natural, but to me it's like I've lost everything.

Love is unconditional and needs no definition. I loved my family, my friends, my dog, my girl, my car. I was in love three times in my life and it was like a drug and I loved and hated it in equal measure. That is different to love. Love needs no definition. It crosses every single boundary.

I'm not sure if this is relevant but I have often questioned how meaningful some 'love' is, Ultimately a romantic partner isn't a concept that appears out of nowhere when you meet someone you like; the role of a partner exists as an expectation for someone, and they choose someone to fill that role to some extent.

I guess people probably to enjoy being around their partners and love them, but I also feel like, as they do with many things, people can kinda make relationships part of their routine.
