I strongly recommended anyone not to try partial suspended hanging from their doorknob. Not because it'll be painful or anything, but simply because it's inefficient as hell.
If you tie the rope to the doorknob and then make it pass up from the door to the other side, then make a noose and pull through, you'll likely not produce enough pressure.
In an ideal hanging you should let gravity do the job.
It's basically as inefficient as trying to hang yourself by tying the rope to the ground and pulling yourself up as if you were some sort of slave, instead of letting yourself down.
