I tried it around 20 times tonight.
Tests. Trying to pass out.

Came "close" ish a few times. Before my hands gave.

But throughout it hurts like hell. My throat hurts, my adams apple hurts, i cant control this HORRIBLY INSANE feeling of swallowing even when nothing is in my mouth.

Rope coming from ceiling. 6mm and 8mm. Same shit.

Wtf do I do. Please someone help.

I can't find 1 fucking method.

How do I make partial suspension work? What am i doing wrong? Please help me get to the bottom of this. I'm sure others have problems like this aswell...

Those who got it right please give some advice.

From my testing I've found that putting the minimum amount of weight on the rope to stop blood flow is best. Just enough to begin the lightheaded/ losing vision feeling.

I caused myself a lot of pain by putting too much weight on the rope/ lowering myself too quickly. It hurts the throat.

Also I pad the rope with something like a towel or soft cloth of some kind so the rope doesn't hurt the skin.

I failed an attempt because I used a tie that broke (this was before I did any serious research) but I did pass out very quickly so I know it's doable.

My attempt didn't work out either but I do agree with Lra that putting the least amount of pressure needed would probably be the best - and padding could help too.

I definitly understand the swallowing thing - not fun :')

Starting to think the answer is just accepting the pain. Literally.

You considered taking something before attempting? Like...something to make you drowsy perhaps so you don't notice the survival instinct as much?

Yes. Alcohol works for me.

What to do about the swallowing though....

I tried last night 4 times with a scarf on a bed post with me standing up , the only feeling I got was feeling like my head was gonna explode, I only did it as a practice just to see if I would get the tingling feeling .I did however try again today with a rope , they say the rope or whatever your using has to be under the jaw high over Adam's apple .

It didn't work for me ether. When I tried I felt tremendous pressure in my head, half passed out and then panicked. I tried the method Robin Williams and Chris Cornel from Soundgarden did. Maybe my thick neck preventing things from succeeding. Look at the necks of those that made it....skinny as hell -

I tried last night. I didn't need a lot of pressure for it to work so It didn't hurt. But I kept unconsciously thrashing around and standing up.

I didn't like the rope , I put a slipknot in it , tied it to a metal frame in my garage shed , if I really wanted to CTB today I would of def put padding in the front , iv watched so many videos , the thing I don't get is how people can pass out in seconds..I did have some tingling affects in my arms ,from practicing last night all I woke up with was a headache from trying/ I have hardwear in my neck from neck surgery, but to get to the passout point the hardwear shouldn't matter

You aren't supposed to feel pressure. You are probably compressing the jugular veins more than the carotid arteries.

The ropes not to thick a normal white rope used for a cloths line , I put it on top of some things in my garage, kinda sad but funny that I actually have cut pieces of rope all over the garage and no one says anything, I don't even think anyone's noticed , the scarf is acutely still attached to my bed post and no one noticed that either

You ain't stupid at all. There are countless people just like us who did the research yet things just didn't work out. Some people make it look so easy. Maybe for them it was. It all depends on the person.

I'm gonna buy a thicker rope and practice that way , I think after I find out exactly what works I'll know the spot the rope should go .Crazy that people can attach to a ceiling fan , and use a basic bed sheet and still get it .

Have you tried taking intoxicating pills before your attempt? Marcus Jannes and Chris Cornell did so and clearly they did something right.

full suspension would hurt too much then?

It will hurt a lot. It depends on how much pain you are willing to take. Partial can achieve the same thing easier and less painful. You just have to get it right.
