• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

Hey. So I got a rope but it's way too long. It's 20m. Do I need to cut the rope to use it for full suspension? If so, I've seen videos where they put tape around the rope then cut it and then u can use a lighter to seal it ? So it doesn't fray? Is that safe to do?
Also the anchor point is rectangular, does a bowline knot work for this?
it would also be right next to my neighbours house, I'd do it at night tho, but is hanging generally very loud method? If all their windows are closed, could they wake up from me hanging myself?
Thanks in advance and best wishes to everyone.

You can cut the rope to your desired length, depending on how high the anchor point is.

You don't necessarily have to put tape on the rope when you cut it. You can just burn the ends so they melt back together.

A bowline knot should work, as long as the edges of the board doesn't cut into the rope, causing it to break.

Hanging isn't noisy unless you're against a wall, door, window, or something that causes noise when you hit it. Your body will flail around as it tries to get oxygen flowing.

One thing to keep in mind though if you're planning on doing it next to your neighbors house... If there are kids there, they could see you hanging and become traumatized.

Hey thank you a lot. That's very very helpful!!! It's my dad's house and I don't know the neighbours that well but the people living right next to it I don't think they have kids. I think it's pretty unlikely a kid wouldn't find me. I really hope so. I do not wanna traumatise anyone but I also do need to kms

Extra rope can just hang there. No need to cut it unless it is in the way.
Whatever knot you can tie is good for the anchor. Once tied, give the rope a good pull. If it holds, all is well.

Thank you so much. That's reassuring. Can the rope truly just hang there? It's literally 20er era long. And would it hang from the noose part of the rope then?

Noose on one end, tie off somewhere near that, the rest of the tope hanging from the tie off.
