Another possibility I can think of, your hand would let go of the handle automatically the moment initial spark hit the skin. Like, you would automatically flinch and pull away your hand at first millisecond.

I'm severely biased on this matter. My dad is an electrician, so not something I like to imagine, and NOT the method I'd use or condone, but I feel like this'd be an unnecessarily painful way to leave earth, frankly. If you're into that kind of thing, sure, but .. jeez, if it's done properly for suicide, you're literally plugging yourself in and cooking your body.
I guess a positive about this one would be that when you stick the utensil in the socket, there'd be no changing your mind, your hand would seize around the metal and you wouldn't be able to let go while being electrocuted.
That's my theory, at least.

Maybe in a bathtub while charging your phone and dropping in the bathtub I occasionally see that on the news that some person died from eletrocution by charging their phones while in a shower/bath.

Does a phone charger even produce enough of a charge through the cord to even really zap you? I didn't think that much power runs through them.

Yea I think a toaster would work better due to having a higher wattage than a phone charger.
And as @Honigwaffel said, you'd have to fix the fuse so it doesn't trip off.

I think a lot of those phone charger stories are in Russia and undeveloped countries. You may "just" get a shock and it won't be pleasant.

Usually, I take a shower while my phone is somewhere else charging. Guess some people can't live without their phone in their hand 24 hours a day!

This would be painful and if you live in a fairly modern (ie one with a fuse box), it's unlikely you'll get enough voltage or current to kill you.
I'm sorry you're in this dark place brother, but I'm not sure you'll find what you're looking for in a plug socket.

There should be a megathread for "Painful and agonizing suicide methods" since there seems to be a new one posted every day. Fork in the socket, sitting in a hot car, slicing your veins open...it's sad to see so many people wanting to die in such miserable ways.

Sometimes I think it wouldn't matter if I was in pain. Just want it all to end. I let myself drown if I could. But that scares me. Putting a fork in an outlet would hurt but if it gets the job done Id do it.

All the people I've had to put in shrouds who have been electrocuted died in a very painful and unpleasant way, it's like burning alive, sometimes even the limbs and the skin falls off and turn black so, I wouldn't recommend it like AT ALL.
As an electrical engineer who's been shocked by everything from light sockets to neon sign transformers I'll tell you to think about another way.
It's going to be very painful, and not very reliable. You don't know what the outcome will be. And as it's been already said here your body's electrical resistance will cause it to heat up. You'll likely get burns where the electrodes contact your skin.
