• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

So many people in my life have looked at me like I'm crazy when I say this. Of course those people as far as I know haven't really been suicidal. You could still believe in this and not want to die but of course I do. So many people focus on living as long as you can but don't even really think about the quality of it. I'd rather die reasonably happy at 30 then be stuck here at 80 not happy at all.

To be honest. If I could do it. I would live out the remainder of my days miserable, I would go until my 80s to live as long as I could for my family, especially my younger brother. I would take the quantity to make them all a bit happier. But I just don't have it in me to even try anymore.

My interpretation is that for them, in this moment, life is good. When life is good they wish to experience more of it and desire for it to last longer, but that only works when you can stay youthful and are still able to experience most of what life offers.

Imagine yourself in your 60s and freshly retired. You've spent most of your years slaving at work and your body is in worse condition. You can't experience many things despite your newfound freedom. You still have that hunger to enjoy life's pleasures, but your body is failing you.

I think people have confused longevity with something else. They desire immortality, but what they really yearn for is youth.

I rather experience the most joyful years of my life even if it was shorter than others. The idea of being trapped in a frail body with only phantoms of better times to haunt me till I die is horrifying.

I agree 100% ♥️ I mentioned quality over quantity to a friend of mine. Got a mini lecture. 🙄 I don't see any need to exist. Not like this. (There is no chance of improvement) I hate society for imprisoning us here.🤬🤬🤬🤬

Personally I'd rather prevent suffering than prolong it but really I wish I never suffered at all, I find it so cruel how there's no acceptance towards people choosing when they cease existing as after all death is all that's inevitable anyway, I find it terrifying how a human can exist for so long, to me the thought of suffering until old age is horrific, I see existing as just pointless, undesirable suffering.

If quality of life means a hedonistic, intensively, excessive and wasteful (sex, drugs and fighting) life, and if this lifestyle has the side effect of a ruined body and mind, than it is true "quality of life over quantity". But this has absolutely nothing to do with suicidality and maybe this lifestyle is not desirable for everybody.

I think most people see it like that for like. maybe your mindset changing maybe a....miracle, per say would happen that would completely change your view and make you suddenly super really happy and excited to live!.

idk what's with people to be honest. like they think living 20 years in pain for a chance of eventually being happy is worth it.

maybe for them it does, but they probably truly never understand the pain we have and are going through, for them all it seems like you're just "exaggerating" things and are "thinking about dark things".

idk. I may be biased, perhaps we all are. but it just doesn't seem like a good thing.

I completely agree on the quality over quantity in life. it just is simple math too, life being shit is not worth it.
pain is a bitch and you will never get used to it. and there are so many different kind of pain that will eventually break you.

I agree, quality of life over quantity!

But there it is, quality is often subjective and depends on so many different factors.
