Help Question about product info on my rope

Is this just for company liability or do I need to reconsider?

The package states : "Avoid using a knot, stress/jerking can reduce strength by 1/3".

I'm 150lbs and the rope is 3 strand twisted nylon/polyester. Working load limit of 560lbs.
