• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

For those who are currently employed.
How do you cope with having to work ?
Have you any advice or coping strategies ?

I used to work.But i don't work now.
Because of my problem,I developed severe depression and anxiety.I had a complete breakdown.I quit my job over a year ago.
I have to find work within the next 6 months.(if i'm still alive).Or i might be homeless.

Thanks in advance. For any advice or suggestions.

What are your worst qualities? With that I mean things an employer wouldn't like.

I just remind myself of the pay check and that the shifts won't last forever. But sometimes my work is fun.

For me work distracts from the pain and when it doesn't I just remind myself that it won't last forever. Maybe find something where you will be constantly engaged so your mind doesn't have time to focus on anxieties.

Hi i work and luckily in the UK depression / anxiety is accepted as a disability. I get by by simply focusing on what i will do when i get home, like watching a movie etc. well more like drinking alcohol. I just focus on those rewards all day. Am sorry you are a fellow sufferer wish i could take it away for you

Mainly i say to myself "it's gonna be over in the evening" and "just do it, you'll earn money"
Sometimes it helps when i think about all the music cds and books i can buy with that money.

Last year i was in an apprenticeship and quit after 5 months because of social anxiety and stuff

I don't know if this helps and well, hey, have a nice day.

I have the same problem I find it very hard to stay at a job. Either my mind drives me crazy by obsessing on my mistakes of my life or I eventually obsess over everything I hate in the job and I get to a point and say fuck it I'm done. Last job couldn't handle the unstable schedule of working from 2 pm to sometimes 2 am and then was too tired to do anything and everyone at the place was miserable. I also have anger problems that affect how I do and small things can add up till I eventually say I'm fucking done and quit.

I tried it. Just impossible.

If studying is umbearable, working is harakiri-worthy.

When I was employed I used to fight for time. I'll try to find a workaround to spend time, eating or driving for a task will take time. I'll try to leave asap and never let them abuse. Then after work, I fill the time with gaming and other stuff I want to do. I could continue like that but I want to ctb

Pretty much the same here. I can actually function normally at work and colleagues and the work itself keep depression at bay for me. When i'm back home is when it hits ...

I don't have any wonderful suggestions. It's the grind, and I have to go through with the grind to get everything arranged the way that I would like. Hopefully I can make it through.

Perhaps the only points of light for me are that I can use the money from a job to provision my situation the way I like, and a little pleasure from putting one over on everyone.
