Hello!
I wasn't sure if i was gonna write something today since i'm like very exhausted and have my mind blank, but i decided to try and force myself to try and maintain my momentum.
There were a couple of things i was supposed to catch about last week but i'm not sure what they were, so excuse me if i'm just repeating myself, since i don't have the patience to read through my last post again.
One thing i do remember was that last week that on the night before i went to see pscyhologist, i sent a message to one of my childhood friends from childhood that i was trying to get back into talking terms. I did end up getting from him the next day, but i haven't read it properly by the time i wrote last week's entry. So to update on that, he doesn't seem very talkative either, but he seems to be happy to hear from me again. I'm scheduling with him for a day to us hang out and go eat at a sushi place, i'm not sure if he confirmed but we should meet up together irl on next week's Friday.
We did exchanged a few messages but he seems to be very different from the last time i met him and it feels a bit weird to me. For once, he seems to have started to convert to Christianity, which i have no idea how it happened considering that he was never a religious person. He was more similar to me, in the sense that religious beliefs were just something that weren't present in my mind. I haven't asked about it to him yet, but i'm guessing he'll probably tell me about it when we meet up irl, so i'll see what happens.
Another interesting thing i've done this week. I got the results from a DNA ancestry test that i did some time ago from a website called MyHeritage. One thing it has is that it helps you create a family tree by showing results of matches of other people that also did a test on the website. I got a message a few days ago from one of those matches, and after a bit of research and from what he said, he's the great grandchild of my great grandfather's brother. Apparently their part of the family emigrated from my country to Brazil, specifically Rio de Janeiro, and i'm guessing they just stayed there. Not sure when that happened though, i'm guessing it was somewhere in the middle of the 20th century, when there was some big emigration waves of Portuguese people in the 40s 50s and 60s. Which also explains why i got a lot of results of people in places like Canada or the United States, Boston is apparently a place with a big Portuguese speaking community, but i haven't researched about it.
Other than that there's really been nothing going on with me. Just wake up do my own thing, try to apply for as many jobs as i can... I don't know why but i can't seem to really get any calls from the jobs i call to, i apply to jobs on their websites, usually finding them on websites like indeed. Mom says i should just go to a store myself and ask them in person if they have a job, but i'm like, do companies even do that anymore? Especially in jobs like retail where they do everything on their own websites for job apllications, so i just thought that was just stupid boomer mentality.
But that's it for now. If i remember about something else i will probably write as a reply, but for now that's it. See ya soon :D
