  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

This is mostly for myself but if there are any others who have horrible anxiety and/or are people pleasers then this message can apply to you.

Saying no is ok. You're not a bad person for putting yourself first.
Not wanting to do something is a good reason to say no.
You don't have to force yourself to do things you don't like.
Your happiness is the most important thing to you and you're not a criminal for prioritizing your happiness.
It's your life and you were born without your consent so love the way that brings you joy.

Reminding myself of this cause I graduate in 3 semesters and I don't want to go to my graduation or have a graduation party cause they're a waste of time and I'd rather sleep.

I struggle with this alot. I'm never even heard of boundaries until a few months ago. I have spent me whole life being the "nice" kid and being a total pushover because I'm afraid of conflict and anti-social. I have recently begun to put my foot down and it feels so good. So much less pressure on me. I deserve to be selfish.

Happy for you mate. Happiness is you're right and I'm proud of you for choosing it. Selfishness is not inherently bad.
