  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Have you ruled out other schizophrenia-adjacent disorders? Schizophrenia can be misdiagnosed when something more accurate could be psychotic depression, bipolar I disorder, schizophreniform disorder, and schizoaffective. Prognosis can vary greatly between these disorders. You can be cured of stress-induced psychosis by decreasing stress for example.

For true schizo, 10 year recovery rates according to Surviving Schizophrenia
  • 25% completely recovered
  • 25% much improved, relatively independent
  • 25% improved, but requiring extensive support network
  • 15% hospitalized, unimproved
  • 10% dead, mostly by suicide

I'm not going to lecture you or anything of the sort.

But, there is hope and recovery is possible.

I have schizoaffective disorder (schizophrenia with a mood disorder (bi-polar)) and I want you to know that if you are on the proper meds, they can make a positive difference in your mood, delusions, and hallucinations.

Some small things to help you on your journey:

Don't take any drugs or alcohol to self-medicate.
Eat healthy foods (lots of fruit and vegetables).
Get plenty of sleep (at least 8 hours a night).
Drink lots of water instead of drinks with empty calories, or diet sodas.
Take time to take care of yourself by listening to positive uplifting music and podcasts. Avoid violent or disturbing media.
Find a hobby that will occupy your time and one that is positive.
If you have pets, make sure you give them lots of love and attention as this will increase dopamine levels.
Avoid TikTok and Instagram as social media can negatively impact your mental health and decrease dopamine levels.
Go for small walks and reflect on what's good in life.
Journal or write your feelings down so you can have a positive outlet to express yourself.

If anyone else has anything else to add to this list, please do! Thanks! :)
