Venting sh by sex?

how many of yall use sex (and other sexual acts) as a form of self harm?

i tested the waters with that sort of idea back in high school. not sure why he wanted to sleep with me after seeing my scars, but if it works :P

i don't want to go outright say "should i use sex for self harm again" but yk. ofc it would always be using protection and whatnot and im gonna try to keep as safe as i can about it.

This is by far the worst form of self harm I have ever used and I strongly advise against it. I would get absolutely shitfaced or go on a bender that would culminate in me having terrible sex with someone. I would always spend the next day rolled in a blanket crying and dead inside. Also, I usually do not use protection because my self-destructive tendencies turn me into an idiot. Please please do not do that. For me, it resulted in a lot of trauma. My self-harm usually involves cutting or alcohol. Cutting, although it's the most stigmatized, is the least damaging of all. Ok I end up with scars so what. Alcohol is worse because it impairs your judgment and can trigger other underlying issues, and it obviously messes with your liver. But sex as self harm is still the worst.

I guess anything can be used as a "self-harm" if you consider it bad emotionally? The point of sh is inflicting pain also knowing it's bad but you deserve it as some sort of a punishment. I used to cut when I thought I said something hurtful to others or when I felt way too numb. I can't do it anymore now, I hate the psych-ward.
