Method Shallow water drowning

Sorry if I've broken rules, posted in the wrong place or repeated anything, im new here.

I read a good thread on drowning in shallow water and was looking for one further answer that I couldn't seem to find.

Is anyone aware, if I were to take a LOT (ridiculous amounts) of sleeping tablets, benzos, alcohol and about 4 bottles of 100ml promethazine and codeine syrup, would this help my attempt by making me pass out hopefully beyond to the point of survival instinct kicking in?

I was thinking about this also, i was unsuccessful in finding any answers. However, i did have an unsuccessful OD attempt a few years back. Anti depressants and benzos put me into a coma within two minutes. i felt nothing, just woke up in hospital two weeks later.

So i would only assume if i were to take those again and hold myself above water until passing out, i would not feel the drowning experience once i pass out and submerge (hopefully).

Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this will post

I believe so. This sound very much like SWB so you should check out that thread and see if anyone has fell unconscious, but still survived. The theory of that method is that once you're unconscious, you won't survive drowning.

from what i see in those SWB threads, its about hyperventilating to pass out, i on the other hand would rather take sleeping pills and benzos, in theory it should work flawlessly, but nothing is ever so simple lol

I took about 25 2mm xanax a few years ago, nots as a suicide attemp but to try and blank out suffering, thought sleep was the only way from it constantly being on my mind 24 hours a day. I ended up being section for 3 weeks which made thing worse

I've heard of several instances where people took too many benzos, went swimming fell asleep then drowned.
