Method Shotgun to head vs complete hanging

Hi Guys,

I have done a vast amount of research on the reliability of complete hanging and gunshot to brain stem. I am not from the US, but i can go there and rent a gun legally. I am also aware that i need some training on how to handle a gun. The only reason i am considering gunshot to brain stem is because it's a guaranteed and super quick. Also, hanging is a guaranteed death, but i have to endure pain and afraid to do that. It's far easier to do hanging than to travel to the USA, learn how to handle a gun and then shoot. But, still, my mind is telling me to use gunshot to head than hanging. Please tell me what i should do. I am feeling a lot of pain just thinking of what method i have to do. Thank you very much

Thanks for the reply. May i know why you don't want to leave your house ? If i travel to use for CTB, it would be likely the first instance of that type, ie travelling to another country just for CTB. Yes, people travel to Swiss for euthanasia, but that's a different topic

Not Canada, but I am afraid to reveal my country due to possible identity reveal. I hope u will understand. Are you planning to CTB ?

Personally, if you are truly able to go to the U.S. and train to handle a gun there, I'd most definitely do it. While it is true that hanging is easily accessible and much, much easier to do, the pain and discomfort are something I also fear enduring. So, it's totally understandable and reasonable if you're willing to go that far for a painless passing, as I'd probably do the same. However, this is just my opinion—ultimately, the decision is yours.

I live near dc. I am 69 and very difficult to get a gun legally here and I have no idea or real way of getting one otherwise. How do you rent one and where in the us can you do that? BTW I'm basically ina very similar situation as you.

One could consider a gunshot while standing on a chair with a noose around the neck. If, for some reason, the shot wasn't immediately fatal, unconsciousness would still follow, and nothing would be felt. In any case, death would be certain—quick, painless, guaranteed.

I do wonder why people don't really combine methods. Like shoot themselves with a noose around their neck or whilst standing near a cliff.

I have read about a guy who took poison, stood noosed at the edge of a bridge over water and shoots himself in his mouth. The bullet missed his brain and cuts the rope, he fell into the water and the impact made him vomit the poison. He was recued. Of course this is a chain of highly unlikely events but I guess, less is more in any case.

US Constitution allows you to buy as many guns as possible if you pass background check. If your state has very strict gun laws you can travel to other states where gun laws are very lax.

IMO we all won a billion dollars lottery on the negative side by being born into this hell

Shotgun is painless. I I hanging is painful. For me I would choose shotgun
