• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I've been on my meds for years now, and at the most they help me get through the day. But I still feel like crap everyday and since I've been on meds, I've gained about 10kg in weight. My diet is the same, and work gives me plenty of exercise. So I guess its the side effects of the meds. I also just feel exhausted every day, even before I do anything.

Just wondering if i just stop my meds without telling my doctor and my family, would it be better? I'm sick of feeling exhausted everyday and my depression and anxiety still bothers me. I also want to lose some weight.

Has anyone ever quit cold turkey before? It would be good if you could share your experiences. Do meds help or is it all in my head? will i be unable to function if i stop suddenly?

I don't have any specialized knowledge, but usually it's not a good idea to stop psychiatric drugs cold turkey. Talking to your doctor might be better. Tapering off the medication gradually should be safer.

No medication you take is gonna fix your problems. The best they can do is take a slight edge off. Did you feel worse while off the meds?

I quit Paxil cold turkey before. Started having panic attacks again. So I went back on it.

Dont just come off, you need to taper off but always speak to the doctor first. If something happens like some sort of mental episode big or small and they found out you stopped your meds your basically giving them the right to take you into hospital.

Thanks, haven't been off them for a couple of years so I'm not sure what will happen

I can't speak for your case specifically, but like what @Schopenhauer has said, it is better to gradually ween off of the medications rather than outright quitting them.
