Yeah in my country the chancellor can be reelected unlimited times. I think it is very difficult to make the comparison because the political systems of Germany and the US are so different. The US-president has way more power than a chancellor.
But what do you think about banning time limits? It probably sounds quite authoritarian for you. But I think there were no time limits some decades ago. Am I right that this changed because FDR was so successful?
I mean it is hard to find compentent politiciasn. Why prohibiting them to get reelected? I think if Dems could they would take Obama every time instead of Harris, grandpa Biden or Klobuchar etc.
Yeah I would have liked to see Obama vs Trump 2016. This would have been good entertainment.
