SN is easily available in the US and some counties. But very difficult in others. You have to search this site and talk to others about sources in difficult countries.

Curing salts or Prague salts are NOT the same. You need >95% SN. Do not mistake nitrAte and nitrIte. These are not the same either.

Fasting 8 hours means no food. Adding contents to the stomach prolongs the symptoms of SN and can cause failure.

In Suicide Wiki it says that one teaspoon of sodium nitrite would weight 10g. Does it mean the sn with grains same size than in table salt or the powdered looking sn?

Some has bought food grade SN that is finer than tablesalt and sent pictures of it in other thread. They looked like powdered sugar: http://www.exportersindia.com/indian-suppliers/sodium-nitrite.htm

But other lab suppliers sell 99% food grade sodium nitrite that looks just like table salt (it is SN for sure)
More air means it weights less.
Teaspoon of table salt weights 6g so can the sn with same size grains weight more?

Has anyone weighted their sn?
