• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

There hasn't been a day in the last 5 years where I haven't heard harmful lies from pro lifers. Everyone keeps reiterating evidently false statements like that life is good, people don't suffer, being in this world is lucky, this world has a loving creator, etc. Even though it's obviously not true, it's always stated again and again and again, it's actually become a hell to try to avoid these screechers. I wish they would accept that I'm not as delusional as them and that my wish is to die, and that doesn't mean I'm mentally ill, it means I'm reasonable and thoughtful.

Why do you seek agreement from people who you deem delusional? (...and at a daily basis?)
Just avoid the topic and let people enjoy their lives.

Also there's nothing objective about it, and few deny that suffering is part of life. The weight we put on suffering varies widely, though - just like the amount we're forced to endure.

Honestly think this is how positivity hurts more than the truth. Why do strangers and friends always say "it's going to get better" every time they hear someone is struggling.

You don't know if it is going to get better or worse for that person. You probably wouldn't bet your life savings on someone's situation turning out better, So why would you say it without taking responsibility?

And what happens if that person's life doesn't get better and he has no money left? Are you going to feed him? Are you going to pay his rent?

So if you aren't going to take responsibility for your own claim, why say "it is going to get better"?

Exactly, pro lifers are so annoying with their false statements. It's why I try to distance myself from as much of the bullshit pro lifer thinking as possible but unfortunately I have to hear it from time to time from my mum. You are reasonable and thoughtful for seeing past these pro lifer statements and for seeing the world for what it really is. This may not be much consolation but I consider you as one of the more thoughtful, rational and logical people on here based from what I've seen from your posts
