There is nothing sacred about human flesh. It is a temporary, flawed shell, soft and perishable, that wears down and falls apart like any other living thing. The notion of worshipping it, of guarding it as if it were an oracle, is nothing more than our species' purest form of vanity self-glorification dressed up as morality. People cling to the belief that this body holds some unique worth, when in truth it is just a fragile outcome of evolution, no different in essence from that of a rat or an insect. Arrogance convinces us its preservation matters more than any other life, but that is nothing more than an aesthetic fixation. Stripped of our pride, it is only flesh, alive for as long as the brain's current runs, and then left to decay. To hell with the religions that made it an idol, laying down their rules about what may or may not be done with it, as if it belonged to a god rather than the one living inside.

I agree but with the exception of how we should be taught to treat bodies other than our own. But, we can be taught to respect things like autonomy, consent and respect for one another's rights without involving religion.

I also happen to agree with age restriction. That some freedoms, our adolescent minds aren't ready to experience- and the higher risk of being groomed when we're that naive. Otherwise- definitely. Autonomy all the way!
