  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Is this method effective? It has to be with enough exposure, right? I've looked into it and due to emission standards I have doubts it might. I surely want to die painlessly and not after spending an abundant amount of time hacking, choking, vomiting, etc prior only to be left with a failed attempt and headache, permanent damage, etc.

Any and all insight is greatly appreciated. Looking to make an exit pretty soon.

You'd need an old car for this to work. If the stories by survivors I've read are to be trusted, it's not a quick death. You will cough and choke for a couple of minutes before you lose consciousness. Since you inhale a toxic gas and deprive your brain of oxygen, I assume that you may suffer brain damage after a failed attempt. There are probably people here who know more about this than I do, though. In any case, I'd recommend that you consider using other methods.

Not a good method. Imagine the million things that could go wrong. As soon as you go unconscious you have no control over the outcome. Someone could find you, the gas might not be enough or too much oxygen still be in the car, your car could stop for whatever reason... Wouldn't risk it tbh

This method has been around for a long time, the problem is there are just to many variables to know if it will be painless, if it will work, or if you will survive with damage or not. Remember with car exhaust you're breathing a lot of other toxins than just CO.

Variables:
Make of the car
Model of the car
Engine size
Emissions system
Type of gasoline
Mechanical condition of the vehicle

It could be quick and peaceful, it could be long and painful and it could not work at all. I really would consider this a last resort plan.

Things that could go wrong:
You get found to soon
The person who finds you gets poisoned
You get violently ill

Thanks for the insight. Bummer. I see a number of members either going through with or recommend ctb by way of SN. But the process of preparing over weeks/days seems tedious amd too time consuming. Why is that, cant it be quicker?

All in all dying quickly and painlessly shouldnt be this fucking complicated and worrisome...

There are plenty of methods to choose from. I'm sure my survival instinct would kick in with full force if I used SN, but that's just me.

I'm not sure this is appropriate for the recovery section, but there are lots of guides that may help you in other parts of the forum.

Some general useful info :
You should start by referencing the "Peaceful Pill Handbook", which is a key information source.
You can find it at : suicide discussion / resource compilation
( use ctrl+F, search for "Peaceful" )

This site also has a very good search function (and advanced search).
Try using that to search, research, and read up.

In general, try to put some initial research effort in yourself, then ask questions when you reach a sticking point, and state your findings so far before the question.

note : If you want to talk to anyone privately (instead of posting on threads), then you can use "PM" (PM = personal message, a bit like sending someone an email)
You need to make at least 5 posts and need to have been active for at least 24 hours to get access.
If you don't know what to post, you can post in some of the "games" threads (see "offtopic" section).
Once you have PM access, when you hover the mouse pointer over a user name, you will see a "start conversation" button...
