  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Anyone else struggles with it? I just don't want to be naked and wet. Clean, yes.

I recommend buying hygiene wipes/baby wipes

they come in a variety of scents or you can get them unscented and hypoallergenic they are usually pretty cheap and still good quality or you can buy a big quantity of them at once

at some stores they even have specific ones for specific areas or uses such as the ones with deodorant on them

hope this helps

i hate showering so much. i used to think it was just bc of body dysmorphia/gender dysphoria but now its mostly due to sensory issues. i used to be embarrassed about smelling bad/looking disheveled infront of others but i couldnt care less now, i barely go outside anyway.

It takes me 30-60 min to shower. With the rest of the hygiene, it's up to 2 hours. And shaving makes me suicidal.

Yeah body dysmorphia, that s the thing with me, too and depression of course.

Is your skin too sensitive to the water?

I find it difficult to have good hygiene. Showering is difficult for me and I don't like to look at myself in the mirror because I think I'm fat even though I might not be.

no its more the temperature changes, loud noises, smells (for some reason smells get way stronger in a hot room, i think i remember reading it had smthn to do with the molecules in the air idk), and bc im autistic i have specific clothes i wear all the time and having to change out of them and wear different clothes im not comfortable in until my specific clothes are clean again is over stimulating, ik i could just get a second pair of those clothes but ive never gotten around to it

Anything that involves a repeated upkeep has an unpleasant quality to it for me. Just the whole "maintenance" aspect of life is grating. Things break down, you have to "fix" them, only for them to break down again, and for you to "fix" them again-- for life. It bothers me less than it used to because fighting with this problem over and over is just going to cause extra suffering. So I guess the only move is to just accept whatever is the case and get it done. I guess that's true for everything about life though.
