• Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I have messages from sanctioned suicide on my phone. If they find my phone with password on it, will they still be able to get inside the phone and discover SS ? I don't want my family to blame SS for my death. In other words, how to get rid of phone before CT B?

I think it would take a lot of work and time and the authorities don't have the expense to do something like that. If it's password protected and better yet, factory reset, there will be no problem.

If you wanna be sure that nothing can be recovered I would destroy the phone and specifically the memory chip.

Look, if authorities really want to find out what sites you've visited and what you've said, having your phone is irrelevant. All they need to know is who your service provider is. Your service provider, Google if you use them, and other search providers, too all have your history stored on their computers. Obviously, just your family or friends wouldn't be able to access that info, but authorities could with a warrant. To keep your SS info private from family or friends, just destroy your phone, or "lose" it. But, remember, all your info is still out there, even without your phone, and can be uncovered by authorities. Would they share it with your family if they obtain it? Idk. It's the Internet. Nothing really ever "goes away".

Scary to think of but I think the government is busy (hopefully) with other more scary things that I try not to think about
