Just a thought that actually popped in my head. Im sure like myself, most of us are registered organ donors. Has anyone ever related that to how you want to die? For me, if I were to ctb in my choosen way, it would be a while before someone found me. (Still trying to work that out.) I always thought it would be nice for my death to have some type of meaning or
benefit.

If I had a 12 gauge I'll blow my brains out tonight. Everything below my neck would be good to go. I'd get what I want, and organ donors would get what they want. It's a win win but we don't live in a rational and ethical society we live in a society of knee jerk jerks.

Btw, that man is a hero in my eyes. Very honorable.

Most of us won't be able to donate our organs, sadly. Most organ donors are ineligible to donate due to the manner of their death making preservation of their live organs impossible. But I registered before my last brain surgery anyway and made my wishes known. If there are those who would like to live, I'd be happy if I could help them.

edit: I imagine suicide organ donation rates will increase; the organs of registered patients who die from overdoses are underutilised. Most of us want to leave a generous time before we are found though.

I wonder whether the effects of N, SN, etc., would render organs inviable for donation.

I had no idea. I thought they had to find your body quick but I didn't realize you would have to pass in the hospital. Makes sense now that I think about it.

Yeah I guess that would be why there are such long waiting lists for organs
