This is not a complete list, but rather just starting something that hopefully will be cumulative here as a pre-ctb checklist:

1. Decide if you are going to leave a suicide note on not.

2. Decide whether or not you want to die as a John Doe or Jane Doe by terminating your life without having any ID on you when carrying out ctb. If one is going to jump from a building or jump in front of a train, one is almost certain to have their names published in the local media should you have ID.

Idk about the checklist, but where I live they specifically don't publish names in suicides. The news doesn't report them unless it causes some other issue like police confrontation or traffic problem, etc

You're lucky in that respect. I don't think the media in other communities in the World have a he same policy.
