We live in such an abhorrent and disgusting world. It's so unfair at how euthanasia is illegal. The right to die peacefully should be a basic human right but unfortunately it isn't

I agree with a lot of this but there has also been some momentum toward pro-suicide positions for at least a decade. There are factors beyond economics that probably explain it along with the fact that things got very close to the finality of the project up until they stabbed Putin in the back circa 2013 (or when Putin betrayed them, as some of the movers and shakers openly stated, depending on your political vantage point). Once things are wrapped up with increased monopolies and centralization the economic reasons won´t be as critical so suicide will probably start getting normalized.
