I was wondering if y'all had made a music playlist for your last hour(s). If you could pick 3 songs to finish out your time, which would they be and why? Is it a feeling it invokes? A memory? A mood? My last songs are not depressing but more reflective; don't want to feel sad when I go!

1. "Real Love" - Regina Spektor (cover of John Lennon song); I love how calm and dreamy this song is and it seems like a great song to fall asleep to.
2. "Bed Peace" - Jhene Aiko; another calm, dreamy song.
3. "Time After Time" - Iron and Wine (cover of Cyndi Lauper)

Here's a suggested format; y'all can make it your own though <3
1. song name (link) - artist; reason why (if you want)
2. song name (link) - artist; reason why
3. song name (link) - artist; reason why

1. Belinda Carlisle - Heaven is a place on Earth
(once you saw it in BM, you can't untangle it from the idea of artificially-created cloud-based afterlife)

2. Holly Johnson - Feel Good
(it's just a nice soothing tune from the 80s with good lyrics)

3. Doro Pesch - I'll be holding on
(there's no official video, disregard the cheesy slideshow, but the song is great)

4. Enigma - I Love you... I'll kill you

By the way, how to post links only and hide the Youtube previews?

Keep on posting, friends!

Never heard "I'll be holding on" but nice song, thanks for posting :O

I used to have a pretty solid idea of what I wanted to listen to when I die but due to a pretty strong feeling of disconnection now it's hard to choose, maybe this just so I know how big of a joke my life was even when I'm dying:

or some other generic pop music

Edit: @OP, Jhene Aiko is a good choice too

Type out your text. Then select text, and click on the link icon (looks like a chain), then drop in the url.

This Mortal Coil - Song to the Siren
It's a very sad but beautifully sung song, Liz Frazer's voice is so emotional.......

Wendy and Lisa - The Life
Another beautiful song

The Smiths - Asleep
Always loved this

Ben Howard - Oats in the Water - I generally gather a feeling of going into the great unknown with this song. It had accompanied me during some of the worst mornings or most dreadful/embarrassing nights

The National - Sorrow - what more needs to be said? Give it a listen and you will get the gist of it. I guess it was the very first song I have ever heard from this band and for the past 3 years they are my absolute Top 1. Sorrow was almost always on my playlist during my absolute lows...

Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross - What if we could - absolutely visceral in its melancholy. It would be the perfect song to let go with...

ahhhhh, music :)

1, The biggest lie - Elliot smith () - I'm planning on listening to the whole album actually , I just like how calm it gets me ,

2, Old pine - Ben Howard () - My love for guitars is responsible for this one ( beautiful guitar picking) , I've always wanted to learn the pattern , yet could never come to actually sit down with it. maybe I would play a bit before the Carbon monoxide deprives my cells from oxygen. :)

3, "lingerish yehoden awetiche" ( ) - by Tilahun Gessesse - He was an Ethiopian singer regarded as the most popular of the country's "Golden Age" in the 1960s. I was actually born 27 years after that, but I just love the lyrics. (it's amharic)
