  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

i've been seeing the same therapist for awhile now and i really like her, she's easy to get along with
and she's really nice but i'm struggling with opening up to her and talking about anything actually important.
i end up distracting the both of us for the whole hour of our session and talk about random crap going on in the world
or i always ask about her life lol. i'm honestly getting no where in therapy, and no it's not my therapist's fault. I just
suck at opening up to people because i don't like talking about myself.

anyone know anything that would help me? i was thinking about trying to listen to music in our next session, because
music usually ends up making me super emotional or idk maybe therapy just never works and i should just give up on it.

maybe you could keep a journal or something and write down what you want to tell her but lack the ability to speak

with kids they play a card game to get them to distract and open up. at the very least it can't hurt to try.

You might want to ask a question about a specific subject but put it in the context of a friend or someone you know. This poses less risk and you can see what her reaction would be to determine if you could raise something risky about yourself directly.
