My incomprehensible drunk thoughts:
It's clear that as society is going, despite the world (mostly) getting better all of the time, it just detracts all meaning from life.
Survival of the fittest programmed us to always want more and more, and it's no longer compatible with modern society. Clearly we are not built for this and our goals are contradictory.
Seems we are heading towards a goal now - presumably perfected society is like living in a comfortable prison.
The best life can be is Heaven, but if we talk about all it's not: It's not
So either deal with the contradictory goals of the human in modern society, working unstoppably towards utopia and losing all meaning in the process, or die, escape the contradiction, and experience essentially heaven.
We got too smart for our own good.
