Why is being happy so difficult? Think about it. Why couldn't we just live our lives happily, being kind to each other?
Really, I tell you, society doesn't allow it - or better - They don't allow it. They enter your mind and tell you all these things you have to achieve and all these standards you have to fit in, and you - naively (thinking it is for your best) - happily go on to play their game. But here's the catch, you never get there, you just don't, there's no winning the game of life. Doesn't matter how hard you try, you never get where they promised you.
Everytime you get something they told you, you realize you didn't really want or need it, and you go wanting more. Everytime you become something it is already out of fashion. To be becomes a wish.
Buddha and Schopenhauer were right, wish never fulfills, it just leaves you hungry for more.
Another thing I noticed: their words are like a virus, they spread to other people and make them judge and hate each other. The people bully, discriminate and hate each other and cause immense suffering without any good reason. They are why Boss screams at Father, Father beats Wife, Wife beats son, son beats dog, etc... In the end, They make you hate yourself.
Really, sometimes I think it's right there in front of our eyes, but They make us not see it. It is a way of enslaving us and draining our energy - just look at our economy and you'll see.
Sometimes I think They wanna get me, they want me dead, I hope they don't succeed.
I don't know how this came out but I wanted to vent. Thanks for reading my rambling
