• If you haven't yet, we highly encourage you to check out our Recovery Resources thread!
  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I binged a lot of the forum, then signed up. I don't know why, as I'll never be as 'ready' as some of you, never attempted, don't have a record of real depression or any medical problem. You guys battling those things seem brave and tough as hell. Wanted to leave it all behind because of financial and material crap I've slogged through for years now but reading through threads of people here one minute and gone in an instant kinda woke me the fuck up for some reason. Thanks?
I hope all of your souls find some sort of tranquility, wherever that may be.
I might hang around just to talk, might just ban myself.

Hey! Welcome first of all. Secondly, that's actually great to hear. I'm really glad that it made you find something deep down to keep going. That's awesome and I hope more of us can find that eventually. Feel free to stay and chat, it's nice to see others opinions and perspectives of things.

I'm glad I did too, man I spent a day seriously feeling like I was staring into the void after reading some of these threads, it's both a lot easier and harder than I ever expected to not live, it was the ease that made me think long and hard, really.
I see why some of you would want to quit this chaotic game, but yeah- I hope some of you guys can find reasons to keep going too.

Well- I'm about 20% positive, 15% negative, and 65% a realist, so, guess I'll be around. If not this forum- then just Earth in general... for a quite a long time... :)

Hey, I'm glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. As to answer your question, I believe it is due to the nature of this forum allowing uncensored discussion of the topic of suicide and also discussion of methods for suicide. For some people (myself included), having an outlet and a place where I feel like I belong and able to relate to helps relieve a lot of the stigma and pressure that we face in day to day life.

I'm glad you have a space like this available for you. :smiling:
It helped me in a sort of unconventional way i guess.
Not sure if I belong here though. If I encroach in any way, please let me know/just ban me lol.

Hey, love. You're more than welcome to stay, we do have a recovery section you can always talk in. But I am glad to hear that this forum has provided you with hope and life. Sometimes knowing we're not alone is enough to keep us present and move on in life. And you are very much deserving of that. Everyone deserves it... Whatever you choose to do in the end, just know we are here for you and feel free to talk to us.

It gave me a very real awakening tbh.
I see it's both easy and really tough trying to die... I knew it was tough- the effortlessness is what chilled me enough to never entertain the thought. I'm flaky as hell~

Hello and welcome!

Welcoming people here is always bittersweet because there is this tacit understanding that you have endured so much pain in your life, that at some point, you've considered ending it. I obviously don't know you at all, but I do mean it when I say that I am so glad that you've decided to live on. I really, really am. That you have chosen to live does not make your pain less valid than that of those who have passed on, so please, I hope that you do not feel foolish for feeling what you feel. I trust that you have worked very hard even if you've made some mistakes up until this point.

Please continue to reflect and know that if moving forward requires some extra support, then there is really no shame in reaching out and depending on others for a little while. Deep down, you know what is good and right for you...please listen. Please take good care of you because you are worthy! I wish you all the very best!

You have found what I know as "lifefuel". A community aspect is good. However not a saviour for all. Alot of the time it's a good coping mechanism. If you need and can do, keep it as such for as long as you, yourself are able too.

Yet another soul saved from the pain of suicide! I seldom say this, but I hope I won't be seeing you around. :)

Definitely choosing life for another 80 something years at least, and hope some of you join me too.

Well done I'm of the same mindset, maybe not quite 80 years as that would make me 119 but I'll take one day at a time xx

You're welcome back any time. Even if times aren't bad the people here are nice enough that I know if I recovered I'd stick around just to spend some time with these wonderful people.
