Venting Toxicity in gen chat

I know most of you may disagree with me, but I feel it's important to speak up before I leave. I've noticed an unfortunate pattern in this forum—teaming up and toxicity directed toward certain members. It's disheartening to see that some individuals, rather than fostering an inclusive environment, seem to alienate others, making them feel unwelcome and as if their presence is undesirable.

One of the more troubling aspects has been being gaslighted by other members. Despite presenting valid arguments, some dismiss or ignore what I have to say simply because a group mentality has taken hold. Instead of engaging in healthy debate, these members seem more focused on silencing voices they don't agree with.

This behavior doesn't only affect the individuals targeted but diminishes the quality of the community as a whole. Forums should be spaces for open conversation, where diverse opinions can coexist without fear of backlash. No one should feel pushed out or disregarded.

Unfortunately I witnessed it. A group of people who I won't name were gaslighting him and making him feel unwelcome.

Usually for forum-based chat services, staff will have access to retroactive chat logs. If you report or message staff, include the name of the room, the date, the approximate time (with timezone) this was going on. Names if you can recall them. Describe the problem in as much detail as makes sense.

If anything untoward is going on, staff can address it.

Okay everyone, here's what went down because this is being completely skewed. On Thursday night, there was some banter and trash talking between me and Juzuhz, which he started by "insulting" my language skills. So I gave back what he dished out. It was all a joke. Then other members of the chat said we were like an old married couple and that they "ship us". He then proceeded to make comments such as "she's into me" and "damn you want me ". I have screenshots. I was disagreeing and saying things like "I'm leaving" and it was obvious I didn't like where the discussion was turning.

Red_sleep then stepped in and told juzuhz that he was being too much - juzuhz then stopped and later tagged me in chat and asked "so we good?". I didn't reply and logged off the site to watch a show.

Logged on today talked to others in gen, and juzuhz stated he felt unwelcome and ignored in chat by others. I had then just said in chat that I care about everybody on the site except for trolls etc., as I was unsure as to whether or not he felt bad about what happened on Thursday.

He then replied to me directly and said "the forum is all yours now" or something. I felt weird about this comment and that maybe he was mad at me, so I kept stating that I was confused. Glenferd666 then jumped in to attack me a bit in chat, as well as juzuhz, telling me to "leave it out" and stop saying that I was feeling confused because "nobody cares". Just being unnecessarily rude. I suspect it's an alt of juzuhz', and other members here do too, but that's for the staff to decide.

Juzuhz then claimed I had ganged up on him after he had "apologised" to me (which I never recall happening) and proceeded to call me a narcissist and said I was gaslighting him.

I have screenshots of what transpired both on Thursday and tonight. Mods can also look through chat archives. I'm not worried about how I conducted myself. This whole thing is bizarre. I'll leave it to the mods.
