• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I am so stressed I don't think I can do another 4 years under his terroristic reign. I might just take the easy way out. Fuck it it's a good excuse to try again. I tried and failed in June. This time my husband and I either leave the country or I succeed. My mom died on account of that asshole. His mishandling of Covid led to her demise. I'm not capable of another four years. I can't do this shit again

If he actually helps the Ukrainian people I'd be thrilled for that. But I highly doubt he really will I don't want you to get your hopes up. Trump cares about nobody but himself. He never has. He his a walking ticking time bomb I fear he may actually start a war, not end one. That's just being honest. He started a riot when he lost the last election. God only knows what will happen this time

The fact of the matter is trump didn't keep his word the first time he was in office at all. What's to say he will this time? He promised all this shit about getting us out of debt and instead dug us over a trillion dollars further into debt. Chances are he'll send more troops into the Ukraine tbh. Trump is a dictator and a liar. I do not have any hope that he will help you. I am sorry. I do not want you to hope for falsehoods

I know, my hopes are most likely wishful thinking. Almost all people are liars especially politicians. We will see in 4 years whether Trump will really become a dictator. something like that happened in my countrie 91 years ago.

I agree. This country has gone to shit in the last 4 years under a democratic president and congress. Wake the fuck up already - WOMEN AND LBGTQ HAD MORE RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS UNDER TRUMP THAN BIDEN/HARRIS.

This person everyone wanted to win was in office for the last 4 years and didn't do one fucking thing to help women or LGBTQ. What makes you think she would have done anything now?

And Biden was a four year disaster. A liberal socialist that accomplished nothing. So there's that.

You take everything you read as truth? Writing something and actually incorporating it into reality are two different things. Lots of laws and proposals die in the process. Yes,it's fear on speculation. What did four years of a liberal president get anyone.....nothing!

Trump voters are like a cult, facts don't matter to them. Anyone who throws out labels like socialist!, is clearly someone who doesn't understand shit/reality and is parroting whatever they've been told. Trump doesn't give a shit about anyone except himself.

Repost:
If you missed that capitalism is very much the problem then u don't understand shit. Like do u actually think there's been an absence of capitalism?? lol. If u do, then u r seriously deluded. We're actually at the point of late stage capitalism and this shit is not sustainable.

Those who think Trump and Republicans are going to improve their lives economically are fools. True that Dems have sold out and are indeed problematic. But the inequity of today has roots back to Thatcher/Reaganomics/neoliberalism. Republicans have always favored big business, corporations, banks and the wealthy. Always about deregulation which has hurt consumers and helped consolidation. When there is consolidation there is monopolistic behavior, high prices and less choice. At least the Dem appointed FTC head has taken on Google and sued to block the $25 billion Kroger supermarket merger to protect food prices/security. Watch as the Repubs replace the FTC head with a pro-business friendly one. Enjoy more high food prices!

When Texas and Florida outlawed water breaks for workers working outside in the deadly heat, they proudly claim to be pro-business. That's basically Republicans for you. They are the epitome of pro-wageslaving and could care less if workers are abused and exploited. You think Trump and Republicans want you to have living wages, or affordable health care? lol. It's always been an amazing thing to see conservative voters vote against themselves and fall for shit like tax cuts for the wealthiest somehow being beneficial for themselves. Fall for the great job-creator myth when America outsourced jobs and production, but wall st and corporations share prices rose. Fall for fighting unions even though unions aim to protect workers from being abused, exploited and push for higher wages.

Republicans will provide you with hate, racism, and sow division as distraction because economically working people's lives will not improve and likely worsen. The problems are systemic/endemic in nature. I hope republican voters have some magical bootstraps because their party has never invested in its citizens, in infrastructure, in education, in affordable health care. Never worked to improve the lives of their own voters. Shit look at the minimum wages and poverty rates of red states.

But I think at this point all the hate is a really big draw for Trump/Republican voters.

TLDR: Capitalism and religion are the two main problems in the world, not just the US.

Religion because of shit like this: https://www.news.com.au/world/middl...e/news-story/8a8b35af6db735ad9e86cd5368b054fc

Capitalism because we have a bullshit version of it. There is a type of capitalism that would work - pure capitalism - one where every decision a government makes would be based on economic outcome. Here you would have a much lower population because those who aren't productive would starve to death. It would be incredibly harsh, but it would work. This would only work under some kind of dictatorship though. Because the poor/weak vastly outnumber the rich/strong and will always vote in a way that benefits them. AI would probably be best to handle this form of government/model as it could eliminate compassion from any decisions.

Otherwise, we need to drop capitalism, and develop a hybrid of capitalism and communism that works in the 21st century. One that stops things like housing from being an investment, eliminates wasteful institutions like health insurance, and strictly limits inheritance. But of course, because this would hurt corporations' bottom lines, no politicians (even a "socialist" like Sanders) would ever back this idea.

Wake the fuck up already - WOMEN AND LBGTQ HAD MORE RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS UNDER TRUMP THAN BIDEN/HARRIS.
What rights and freedoms exactly? You mean this?
For the full list of Trump's attacks on LGBTQ people, visit HRC.org/Trump.
  1. Opposition to the Equality Act: Despite support from almost every segment of the U.S. population and a majority of Republicans, President Trump opposed the Equality Act. In May, the House passed the Equality Act, voting to guarantee critical non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people among other crucial rights.
  2. Appointed anti-LGBTQ judges: Trump has appointed anti-LGBTQ judges with alarming anti-LGBTQ records to appointments at every level of the judicial system, including anti-equality Supreme Court Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh and federal nominees Kacsmaryk, Mateer, Bounds, Vitter. Menashi and others.
  3. Joked about Pence's desire to hang LGBTQ people: In 2017, Trump joked about Vice President Pence's anti-gay agenda saying "Don't ask that guy—he wants to hang them all!"
In the Workplace
  1. Supported employment discrimination against LGBTQ people: The Trump administration submitted amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court supporting discrimination against LGBTQ people.
  2. Banned transgender service members from the military: Against the expert advice of military leadership, medical authorities, budget analysts, 70% of Americans and the armed forces of allied countries, Trump and Pence banned transgender people from serving in the military.
  3. Rolled back Obama-era non-discrimination protections: Trump's Department of Justice upended previous DOJ interpretations of the Civil Rights Act that protect transgender and non-binary workers from employment discrimination and ceased enforcing non-discrimination protections as well as taking a hostile stance to LGBTQ workers in court.
  4. Issued rule to license discrimination: Trump's Department of Labor issued a regulation designed to allow federal contractors to claim a religious exemption to fire LGBTQ workers because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
  5. Kicked people living with HIV out of the military because of their status: The Department of Defense instituted a "Deploy or Get Out" policy, which would remove military personnel living with HIV from service solely because of their status.
  6. Created a hostile work environment for LGBTQ federal employees: According to Politico: "[The Trump administration] fostered a climate where six staffers who are LGBT described removing their wedding rings before coming to work in the morning, taking down photos of their partners and families or ultimately finding new jobs further away from certain political appointees. They did not want to be identified; two said they feared being reassigned for being gay."
[/COLOR]
In Health Care

  1. Undermine Section 1557 Rule: HHS published a proposed major change to the administrative rule interpreting Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to remove explicit protections for LGBTQ people in healthcare programs and activities by excluding LGBTQ people from protections from discrimination based on sex stereotyping and gender identity.
  2. Advocated for the elimination of the entire Affordable Care Act: The Justice Department issued a legal filing arguing that the entirety of the Affordable Care Act should be overturned. This move would jeopardize health care for over 130 million people with preexisting conditions like HIV and eliminate non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people.
  3. Created a Religious Discrimination Division: HHS created a new office whose sole purpose would be to defend physicians and other medical professionals who decide to refuse care, including to LGBTQ patients.
  4. Proposed cutting over $1.35 billion from PEPFAR budget: In his proposed FY 2019 budget, Trump cut $1.35 billion from, or 29% of PEPFAR's budget. PEPFAR is the U.S. government program that fights AIDS abroad.
In Schools
  1. Guidance for Schools on Transgender Students: The Departments of Education and Justice eliminated Obama-era guidance clarifying that schools must treat transgender students consistent with their gender identity. This encourages schools officials to permit harassment of transgender students, deny access to facilities consistent with gender identity, and refuse to use correct names and pronouns -- all inflicting untold emotional harm.
  2. Rejected Complaints From Transgender Students: The Department of Education refused to respond to civil complaints filed by transgender students, including those who were barred from using bathrooms that correspond with their gender identity. This increases the burden for transgender students to combat these harmful policies.
  3. Suggested it is acceptable for schools to discriminate against LGBTQ students while accepting tax-payer funds: Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has refused to rule out federal funding for schools that discriminate against LGBTQ students and has declined to state she would otherwise intervene should discrimination occur.
  4. Sexual Assault: DeVos rescinded Title IX rules related to schools' obligations to address sexual harassment, including sexual violence. By eliminating the Obama-era rules, DeVos increased the standard of proof from "preponderance of the evidence" to "clear and convincing evidence" making it more difficult for survivors of sexual assault to obtain justice. LGBTQ people are disproportionately affected by sexual assault and harassment, and the stigma that many LGBTQ people face can make it more difficult for survivors to report.
  5. Eliminated language protecting LGBTQ children participating in the 4-H program: The Trump-Pence Administration ordered 4-H programs to remove a policy specifically welcoming LGBTQ children in the 4-H program, which led to the firing of an official who protested.
  6. Used Title IX to discriminate against trans students: the Department of Education claimed that school policies allowing trans youth to participate in sports consistent with their gender identity violated federal law and threatened to withhold funds.
In Housing
  1. Allowed emergency shelters to deny access to transgender and gender nonconforming people: Despite the fact that LGBTQ people are significantly more likely to experience homelessness in their lives, HUD Secretary Ben Carson has proposed a rule to permit emergency shelters to deny access or otherwise discriminate against transgender and gender nonconforming peoplewho are homeless. HUD also canceled a scheduled survey on LGBTQ homelessness.
  2. Placed transgender incarcerated persons in the wrong prison: The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) rolled back an Obama-era policy that housed transgender prisoners consistent with their gender identity. With transgender people experiencing sexual assault at higher rates than average, this decision only puts them at further risk of assault.
In Families
  1. Allowed foster care programs to discriminate while accepting tax-payer funds: Trump-Pence White House has proposed a federal regulation that would strip away nondiscrimination requirements and permit all Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) grant recipients, notably adoption and foster care agencies, to discriminate against LGBTQ people, and in many circumstances religious minorities and women, and still receive federal funding.
  2. Refused visas to partners of diplomats: The State Department began refusing visas for same-sex partners of some diplomats and U.N. workers if they are not married.
  3. Changed rules to deny surrogate born children citizenship: The Trump Administration has interpreted immigration rules specifically so the child of a same-sex couple born abroad via surrogate would be considered "born out of wedlock" and making it more difficult to obtain U.S. citizenship.
In Representation
  1. Erased transgender people: Trump's HHS proposed a new definition that would narrowly define sex as either male or female, unchangeable, and determined by birth. According to the New York Times: "The new definition would essentially eradicate federal recognition of the estimated 1.4 million [transgender] Americans." In addition, agency staff, including those at the Centers for Disease Control, have been instructed to stop using the word transgender in official reports.
  2. Eliminated information on LGBTQ rights, mentions, and representation on government websites: Within hours of Trump's swearing-in, pages on LGBTQ rights and recognition were removed from government websites, including the White House.
  3. Blocked questions regarding sexual orientation from consideration for the census: Trump and Pence have sought to block questions on sexual orientation from the census in order to erase LGBTQ people from official counts. This would, in turn, prevent the collection of crucial data that could help improve government programs and resources for LGBTQ people.
  4. Refused to recognize LGBTQ people in National AIDS day Address: Despite being the community most affected by the epidemic, Vice President Pence has consistently refused to acknowledge LGBTQ people in his addresses on National AIDS day.
In the World:
  1. Refusing LGBTQ asylum seekers fleeing violence: Trump issued an executive order to create further obstacles for all people seeking to enter the U.S., preventing refugees from escaping some of the most anti-LGBTQ regimes in the world.
  2. Embassy Pride Flags: Pence defended the State Department directive to ban U.S. embassies across the world from flying the LGBTQ Pride Flag during Pride Month.
  3. Left the U.N. Human Rights Council: Trump and Pence, over LGBTQ and other issues, removed the United States from the U.N. Human Rights Council.
  4. Chechnya: Trump and Pence refused to condemn attacks on LGBTQ people in Chechnya, where atrocities against queer people are horrific and ongoing.
  5. Brunei: The Trump-Pence administration has refused to condemn a Brunei law that imposes barbaric punishments on LGBTQ people, including death by stoning, torture and whipping.

Or do you mean this?

Taking away our healthcare.

Trump, along with a Republican-led Congress, has repeatedly attempted to undermine the Affordable Care Act, even stripping protections from people with pre-existing conditions. Thankfully for the millions of people who have come to rely on the ACA, these attempts failed. Still, the administration has issued new rules that weaken the ACA's mandate that birth control be covered by employer-provided health insurance. The rules–which are being challenged in federal court–would allow some employers to deny coverage for birth control due to religious or moral beliefs. That's right. Trump would allow your boss to have a say over your birth control based merely on their personal convictions. If implemented, the rules could impact up to 127,000 women.

Reversing progress for campus survivors of sexual assault.

The Trump administration proposed a major rollback of Title IX protections for survivors of sexual assault and sexual harassment. This includes narrowing the definition of sexual harassment, allowing institutions to require a higher burden of proof for survivors and even gives the alleged perpetrator the right to cross examine their accuser. Prior to the rules taking effect, there is an open 60-day public comment period that wraps up on January 28, 2019.

Putting women's lives at risk around the world.

Trump reinstated the Global Gag Rule, which denies U.S. aid to any NGO's that provide abortions–or even those that merely provide information about abortions. Past Republican administrations have done the same, but Trump greatly expanded the policy's reach to include more types of international aid than at any time in history. Already, the policy has had a devastating impact. Clinics offering vital healthcare and HIV treatment to women and families in the most vulnerable regions in the world are being forced to close.

Defunding proven teen pregnancy prevention programs.

Trump is increasing funding for programs that promote an abstinence-only approach to teen pregnancy prevention while simultaneously decreasing requirements that measure the effectiveness of such programs. This is despite reports demonstrating that teen pregnancy has reached an all time low, partially a result of Obama's approach that prioritized evidence-based programs. The shift will result in less teens learning critical information to prevent both sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy.

Discriminating against transgender people.

The administration rescinded protections for transgender students that allowed them to use the bathroom aligning with their gender identity, and they banned transgender people from serving in the U.S. Military. Now, the Trump administration is reportedly pushing for the Department of Health and Human Services to develop such a narrow legal definition of sex that it will effectively deny the existence of transgender people along with the vital Title IX regulations that protect them.

"Women have one of the great acts of all time. The smart ones act very feminine and needy, but inside they are real killers. The person who came up with the expression 'the weaker sex' was either very naive or had to be kidding. I have seen women manipulate men with just a twitch of their eye — or perhaps another body part."

– DONALD TRUMP, TRUMP: THE ART OF THE COMEBACK

Supporting dangerous abortion restrictions.

In addition to appointing two anti-choice Supreme Court justices, Trump backed a dangerous 20-week abortion ban bill that passed the House in 2018 by a narrow margin. Fortunately, the legislation was shut-down by the Senate

Abandoning women's rights on the international stage.

The Trump administration has reduced U.S. State Department reporting on women and LGBT rights violations globally. Reporting for women's rights is down 32% and for LGBT rights it's down 21%, as the U.S. State Department fails to document attacks on these intersecting groups.

Undermining efforts to end the wage gap.

Trump suspended an Obama-era rule that required companies to report employee wages and salaries based on gender and race, allowing the federal government to identify pay discrimination.

Separating children from their families.

The Trump Administration implemented a "zero tolerance" policy that separated children and their parents at the border for any families deemed to cross the border illegally. Although public outcry led to the policy being reversed, thousands of families are facing significant and irreparable trauma and many have yet to be reunited.

Attacking immigrant families and those seeking asylum in the U.S.

On Trump's watch women and children seeking asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border have been tear-gassed. He has threatened to impose a fee for people seeking asylum that will not be waived if the individual cannot afford to pay, and he's proposing the reinstatement of the "public charge" policy. The policy would deny a path to citizenship to any immigrant who at any time uses public services like Medicare or SNAP (food assistance). The policy will undoubtedly be most harmful to children in need, forcing parents to forgo vital healthcare and food for fear of losing asylum or legal status.

"We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we're stopping a lot of them — but we're taking people out of the country. You wouldn't believe how bad these people are. These aren't people. These are animals."

– DONALD J. TRUMP

Oh, or do you mean this?
WASHINGTON — Donald Trump took credit Wednesday for the elimination of Roe v. Wade, embracing his role in selecting the Supreme Court justices who were instrumental in ending the half-century precedent that protected abortion rights nationwide.

"After 50 years of failure, with nobody coming even close, I was able to kill Roe v. Wade, much to the 'shock' of everyone," Trump, the former president and front-runner for the 2024 Republican nomination, said on his social media platform.

I'm on Medicaid. And social security. I am married to an immigrant. I stand to lose EVERYTHING. But I am not gay. I do have gay/lesbian friends. I am worried about them but I am more worried about my husband than their right to get married tbh and our ability to pay bills since only he works. So yes. You nailed this shit
These Trump posts are getting redundant and boring. Alot of fear mongering going on about perceived injustices based on nothing but speculation.
Then don't read it I needed to say what I had to said. I didn't read any other posts. I'm only on here once a week maybe anymore I'm so depressed I'm even isolating from this site too. I don't read posts here I just write what I need to say and move on. If you don't like a post keep scrolling. Don't enter the thread just to bitch at someone about their pain. Trump wants to gut Medicaid and social security. I'm on both. My only forms of income. He wants to deport all illegal immigrants. My husband is one of he's been here since before he could walk and talk tho. He didn't hop the border. He got carried across in his pampers. He had no choice or knowledge of the act at the time. I'm screwed by all of trumps new agenda. Except abortions stuff. I can't have kids. And the I'm straight but I have lgbtq friends. So they will suffer. You should think before you speak.

@let.me.let.go87 I'm so sorry to hear your specific details!

For what it's worth, I'm an older trans dude who doesn't expect to be directly impacted (in part because I expect to CTB before or very soon after inauguration day), but I'm friends with several families who have trans-youth that have already been harmed by policies and the blatant bulling that Trump's allies have promoted.

With that said, I know about some of the things his last administration was able to do against immigrants, and I know that they have put together much worse and much more actionable plans to be implemented once they're in office.

So, I believe your fears are founded, and my heart, goes out to you and you husband, as well as all our immigrants, LGBTQ+ citizens, and so many other minorities that they're targeting!

Guys, without apologizing for Trump at all I think you can chill. The news cycle and elections are mostly hot air. The Donald just can't do very much. His job is photo ops.

The government is huge and the president doesn't run it. Congress kind of runs it, but no senator or representative reads the bills. It's this massive bureaucratic monster creating "laws" that are thousands of pages of fine print written by lobbyists.

Well-educated people in academia, journalism, medicine, law, and the federal bureaucracy quietly run the country and they're all liberal and you can't vote to fire them. Take comfort in that!

Thank you. Luckily we live in the most republican state in the country

thank you. Luckily we live in one of the most republican states in the country. Therefore he's unlikely to hit the state in his sweep for illegals. But that does not assuage my fears. My husbands family all live in the most democratic state in the nation and one of them is still illegal. His most important relative. The one who means the most to him I mean. His grandma. So he would readily run out there to save her putting himself at risk. And getting himself deported at the same time. I do hope trump fails in his aim for new policies. A lot of people tell me he'll have to go thru congress and yada yada but congress are all riding his d¡ck now and want to please him so I have a bad feeling. Sorry for the vulgarity but it's just how I feel about politics tbh. To allow a felon into the white house they can't be doing much else tbh I didn't get to finish the first version of this reply where I started saying the exact same thing and I can't edit or remove it lol sorry about that

Yea but as I said right as you were saying this in a pretty vulgar way tbh Congress is riding Trumps dick. There's no other way around it. To put a felon into the White House in the United States of America. Felons can't vote, but now one is president? It's really the only way you can actually explain the shit that just happened on election day.i don't have much hope that congress is any better off
