After several days of cutting my thigh a lot it's led to it being really sensitive yet I can't stop cutting myself because it makes me feel calm and better even if it's temporary.

It will probably stay sensitive for a while, even if the cuts aren't deep if they're layered on top of each other that will add to sensitivity/ how long it's sensitive for. I often switch between legs but I'm a side sleeper so if it's fresh (within 48hrs) on both sides it's almost impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep
