Username color

I know it's dumb. I can't figure this out, but I'm already in a bad mood today so why is my username suddenly appearing yellow? Usually it's green. I always hated yellow anyway because it's hard to read!

it's got something to do with your post count. you can change it in settings though, mine should be an orange but if i hadn't changed it it'd be blue i think?

as far as i know, this site is a modified forum template kinda thing. seen very similar ones around. probably wasn't a decision by whoever made SS but just remnants from a system to incentivise high post counts. the 'rank' colors can still be seen on thread viewing / online member lists. (i have no idea actually) kinda weird, yeah, but glad we can change it :p

what you said crossed out is true. me and @NoPoint2Life are of the same rank and so have the yellow colour for our names when seeing the "Users who are viewing this thread" at the bottom of the page as well as in conversations, original poster name for the thread, profile replies, etc.

based on experience i feel like it also might be bugged. my username right now looks like angelic, but if i go to the main page its orange.

that bug happens if you disable showing your online status. if you turn it on, you should see your name be your chosen colour. However it doesn't really matter as people won't see your name on the front page if you disable your online status.
