Venting Uvalde Incompetence

I just heard the 911 call one of the children made in the Uvalde classroom the shooter was in. It made me so upset knowing the officers were aware of this call and still were looking for a master key when no one tried the door.

The entire police department is incompetent and their actions directly lead to victims not being able to receive medical treatment in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, law enforcement cannot always save the day, that scenario was not anything that could be anticipated. I would have imagined the cops were concerned about how many more would have died. Thats why they chose their actions.

Isn't the maxim: "Never ascribe to malice, that which can be explained by stupidity (or incompetence)"?

In this case, I'm not sure it holds true.

Of course, I have a suspicious mind.

A ballistic shield, a shotgun, backup. My crippled ass could have done a better job. And would have.
