  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

For 2 days I was able to limit my gaming time and social media consumption by a lot, I was finally able to remember my days and actually get some progression done on my three goals, I did end up gaming the second day for 3 hours, but that's nothing compared to the endless amounts of gaming I was doing before, I'm talking 12+ hours.

I relapsed today and I feel awful, I feel more depressed and it's sickening. I fell into all of my old habits and lost much of the day again, I blinked and suddenly it was 12am and I just played a video game all day that I didn't even like. However, I do take this day as a W because I realized once again how bad my lifestyle is and it motivates me to get back on track again tomorrow. If any of you know my life story, I was taken out of school in the 5th grade and my parents never schooled me, I'm now 20 and flooded with illnesses and deeply rooted bad habits.

I was always addicted to gaming.
It was one of the reasons I got held back two years in school.

From my experience, simply putting your mind onto something is not going to work.
You need an obligation. Something to really take your mind of gaming for a bit.

If you do end up gaming for long stretches of time again (I too am guilty of this) perhaps remind yourself every 20 minutes to look at something 20 ft away for 20 secs. It's supposed to help with computer screen strain on the eyes but I like to use it as a grounding technique. I like to go downstairs and stare out the window or even sit outside for just a few minutes.
Best of luck Mappa :) hugs

I agree, I've been learning to code and trying to pick up a different language whilst also trying to read more. I'm hoping to get a job soon to occupy a lot of my hours, and meditating twice a day has been extremely helpful.

IMO it's really difficult to learn how to code without a job.
Maybe you can find a Home Office job as a Python Programmer, or Front end dev.

Job market will be a bit better from now on.
