• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

What are some of the wackiest new years superstitions you guys have heard of?

I've heard of some pretty crazy ones that my family actively follows. I'll list them here, and I'm just curious if you guys have heard of these, do you follow them, or any you guys would like to add?

1. Don't wash clothes in New Years Day because you wash away a member of your family (ie. a family member will die)

2. Don't sweep dust out your door because you'll lose money and things in the coming year

3. Don't throw things out because people and things will leave your life in the coming year

These are probably the 3 wackiest ones I've heard and my mom's already upset with me because I plan on decluttering on January 1st, asking why would I tempt fate. Quite frankly, I don't believe in superstitions, magic, all that stuff but I'm interested to hear you guys' views

Damn, and here I only know about the food ones. Pork for good luck, black-eyed peas for happiness, IIRC.
