• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

Anyone else weirdly obsessed with celebrity suicides? For me it's Kurt Cobain and Robin Williams.

Kurt Cobain really was an amazing dude. Whether you're a celebrity or just some nobody, we all suffer so much. Hell of a world.

I'm not interested in celebrity suicides, but...

I'm sad that one really good sports presenter that everyone knew committed suicide. And I'm annoyed how it wasn't just said "it was suicide".

Instead it went like:

News: "A man died from being run over a train this morning in this village. In other news, this famous sports presenter everyone knows suddenly died today, no we can't say why he died, please don't ask. Please don't remember his home village and please don't notice the previous news and please don't use your brains"

The whole country's subreddit: "OMG! The famous sports presenter is the man who committed suicide!"

So everyone who didn't use reddit probably thought he died from a random sudden medical emergency or accident, while the whole country's reddit knew he was the man who committed suicide by getting under a train. I don't know if the news ever admitted the truth to the general public.
