• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

It can be from any sensory modality — auditive, visual, olfactory, gustatory, vestibular, tactile, nociceptive, thermoceptive, interoceptive, proprioceptive, anything.

I'll start: I recall enjoying the sound of a deaf person laughing, petting my cat and hearing her purr, walking all alone during chilly nights, receiving neck kisses, having my front teeth and nose hurt sharply then go numb from sniffing cathinones and eating a healthy breakfast for a study in a sports sciences lab

Listening to music while high, especially during this one trip I had a while back. It felt better than having an orgasm.

Music. Either sober or drunk, doesn't matter. And I don't know if this counts, but taking a bite from a hamburger. I don't know why, but it feels so good. While listening to your favorite music.

Smelling the old apartment I used to live in, and kind of weird I know, but the smell of my cats fur and my Lola. Those are very comforting smells to me.

The fresh smell of air during a day with clear sky in a classroom where I knew that I screwd up my physics exam, but I accepted that and I just sit there enjoying the air..
The same experience but with fresh air at morning after I come back from the 6 am mass.. I loved how carefree it used to feel, and how fresh air was

Asmr stuff lol, I once fell asleep to my bf clicking and typing as he was setting something up on his laptop because it's so relaxing, also being in a full hot bathtub with or without essential oils, washing hair with cool water in the summer, mint and menthol everything, sweet and pure fresh air without stupid smoke, cats purring, also putting stuff up my nose lol, skin being soft as silk after waxing, eating crunchy rice cakes with flaxseed 🥹

I love the smell after it rains. I still think rainbows are like miracles in the sky. I still don't understand the physics. Lots of music I find so beautiful, it makes me cry. I like it in simulation games when my sims are happy. Similarly, I love to see animals happy. That makes me happy. Eating chocolate is sometimes mind blowing and, (NSFW,) orgasms. Lol.

A sensory experience I enjoyed was when I listened to "First Step" by Hans Zimmer from the Interstellar on max volume with my earphones in for the first time. It was truly like nothing I've ever experienced before. Accelerating my hearing loss was so worth it (*´꒳`*).

I remember seeing the Movie Coraline in IMAX 3D. It was my first ever 3D Movie experience and it was so captivating to experience first hand. I also liked see a Planetarium mini documentary at a Museum. Felt like flying through space.

Finding a shell on the beach and putting it in your ear to listen to its sound

The smell of wet dirt

The sound of rain and the cozy coldness it generates

Drinking hot cocoa on a winter night

Punching down dough after leaving it to rise

When it's half rainy and half sunny on the evening and a rainbow appears in the distance

Finding a really cool vintage car in good condition

Those ASMR slime videos, for the sounds and because they look so smooth and silky to play with

Falling in bed after doing a lot of physical activity

Petting a dog or a cat

Many many many years ago I was attending a concert and they had all the singers (~40) surround the auditorium to sing an somber yet hopeful song harmonically. I never cried listening to a song and physically closed my eyes and leaned back on my seat taking in the echos, the perfect blend. No mp3, no pair of headphones or speakers could recreate it.

These performances are incredibly difficult to pull off as when each person is feet apart from each other, they have to carry their own voice instead of depending on the people around them, so any mistakes stick out. No microphones, no speakers. These were straight up professionals.

I've never felt anything like it and I've never felt it again, even when attending professional concerts on world famous stages, they're all directly next to each other so the sound, while great, was facing one direction so the echo is there but not equally all over. I've only been in one other fully surrounded performance but it was a bouncy song so the emotion wasn't really there.

But that harmonic surrounding sounds...I would do a lot of things to have that experience in my ears again.

It felt like I was in heaven, like I died and came back to life. I sound like a Redditor saying this but I'm barely exaggerating when the entire audience stood up and clapped, cheered, I screamed cheering with my hands in the air, the clapping was almost as long as the performance itself. It was that good. I don't know how to describe it in understandable words but I would suggest buying a ticket to these kinds of performances.

Anything to do with water. Rain, rivers, the ocean, waterfalls. One of my best moments was even in a sensory deprivation chamber (lol) because I was floating in water.
Crawling into bed on fresh sheets.
Visiting snow-covered mountains.
Being in Japan (sights, smells, sounds, all of it).

When I was younger, around my elementary school days, I used to love breathing in the fresh air after dismissal from school. Especially if it was winter. Feeling the breeze on my face after being stuck in a stuffy room all day was amazing. It sucks I can't feel that enjoyment anymore despite still being stuck in a stuffy room all day in the present day too.
