What browser do you use when on this site?

I used to use Chrome (which I use on mobile 99% of the time because my phone hates Firefox, which I use on desktop).

I now use DuckDuckGo or other such "private" browsers, both for the expected privacy, and because most people who'd search stuff if they got ahold of my phone assumedly would more quickly use the default browser rather than go out of their way to choose a different one.

Firefox "works" on my phone, but some things display really oddly or will lag (I think this is partially because I usually have to have font/zoom way up due to my eyes being awful even with glasses). So usually it's Chrome on mobile, Firefox on desktop.

Brave, it blocks trackers etc, I had to switch from opera a while ago because it started lagging on my phone and I'm not complaining, it also let me access a certain site that was blocked from search results a while ago on other browsers, which was the reason I downloaded it in the first place

I just use Firefox cause of the whole Manifestv3 situation going on with chromium based browsers. Brave's shields don't work as good as UBO in my experience and there's a few other extensions I use that require manifestv2

I use Chrominum. It's a lot more lightweight compared to Chrome, and more developer-friendly. It doesn't include user-tracking, which is another bonus for us privacy-minded users.

I'm not sure if you knew, but Chromium has a lot of telemetry still, unless you use a fork with the telemetry components removed like Ungoogled Chromium.
Same with Firefox, it includes a lot of telemetry by default, thankfully with Firefox you can use a custom user.js like Arkenfox, or you can use a build with telemetry removed altogether, like Librewolf.

With that being said, I don't care about privacy nearly as much as I used to. I used to be one of those people who was fully into the rabbit hole and worshiped guys like RMS and had a Librebooted Thinkpad with Linux on it. I realized how much of a waste of time it is realistically when you go outside and there's cameras and all sorts of other monitoring devices everywhere. You have to use a smartphone which are glorified tracking devices to participate in today's world anyways so what's even the point really?

It also should be mentioned that, paradoxically, the more of an interest in privacy you have, you actually make yourself a bigger target. There's a lot more on the subject online that I'm sure you can find. Also be wary of VPNs. A lot of information about them online are false. Mullvad is the only one I trust for certain, which you can pay with using Monero or mail in with cash if you want to be completely anonymous.

That is a very good practice, have separate browsers for each task (work, social life, etc.)

It ends up with me using SS on Brave on my computer, and Firefox on mobile~ :)

Speaking of this, I don't really believe that I have any privacy left at the moment, except for the things in my mind and my diary. I can feel that every step I take could be deduced, and as an ordinary person, I have no privacy at all.

That is pretty much the case with most people. Almost everything can be tracked down in today's world, and there' s nothing we can really do about it either.

But then again, as along as we don't do anything outright criminal I doubt authorities will have an interest on us either. One internet user is only a floating statistic in a sea of other random information on the internet.

It's not like anyone checks my browsing history, I just use the same browser as always. I don't even use private tabs.

On my phone, I use brave as I can hide that better and not need to be incognito re-logging in constantly, on PCs/Laptops, it's Firefox
