  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I have not being going to school for over 2 months, Im 18yo and am not working. My psychiatrist has given me the option to live someplace else. They call it a 'hostel'. There should be people my age living there too. Should I accept the offer or turn it down? They tell me it could help me.

Is the 'hostel' a part of the psych ward or?

I myself don't have such a good experience with these kind of stays but it doesn't mean yours will be bad. I guess you should go there but try to ask for a shorter stay (a week or less) just to see how it goes. Let's face it, it definitely won't solve your problems or make them better. Your decision also depends on whether you trust your therapist and the main reason why you consider ctb.
I'm assuming you're just out of high school, if nothing else at least you'd get to experience living with others which might be good to get you used to living in dorms or your own appartement. Maybe you even befriend someone in a similar situation.
In short, I can't tell you whether it will be good or bad but you'll never know unless you try.
Whatever you decide, I wish you good luck❤

It might help to be around others your age who are dealing with similar issues. Perhaps you could visit and be shown around without committing yourself to it. That way you could check out the vibe. I've had positive and negative psych ward experiences. Some places are not so bad others are awful.

Maybe it will just be a chance to meet people like you. That's the only reason I didn't regret college. Look at it like that

I think u should go for it. It's an opportunity to make new friends and have a support network which u really need when u are a young person just starting out. If it sucks u can always leave. I would try it at least. The good thing about being young is it's easier to adapt and make friends. It might really be helpful. Good luck :)
