• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

what if CTB changes nothing? like life as we know it just restarts with our soul moving into a new body, ready to have the exact same outcome as ours did? what if hell is truly real? eternal suffering sounds worse than riding it out and dying of cancer or whatever. but even after a natural death, there may still be no end. I'm terrified of death. at least right now i know what to expect as I've felt this way for years but we have NO IDEA what happens in the afterlife. my only hope is that its not worse.

This this

I have been an atheist for years, yet this year hell has been living in my mind, I keep thinking about it. I try to be kind, I try to be a good person, yet according to the bible, and many other religious texts me and so many other people will go to hell. This is just so unfair, and thinking that this is how everything is supposed to work terrifies me. I want my suffering to be over, but I don't know that dying will make them end, and it terrifies me. I really hope that that isn't the case and death ends everything/ feels like sleeping, and I really hope that I will be able to get the whole idea of hell out of my head eventually

It's possible the new self would be a different self that wouldn't be as miserable as least. I kinda think reincarnation might be real but I'm really starting to believe hell is not. I think everyone who does will be okay in whatever sense that means, whether by reincarnation or by afterlife or by nothingness. I don't believe in permanent torment.

Consciousness arises from brain function. There is a very plausible current theory of how it works (attention schema theory). It's not a soul, it's not an "energy", it's not a special magic thing that is separate from the body. It's just your brain doing something you're not aware of to make you feel like a "you".
As long as people keep reproducing there will be new consciousness that are all "you". We are all "me". We just think we're separate and different.

So no, "you" will not be reincarnated. Your experience of consciousness will end when your brain dies. But life will carry on and consciousness will carry on. It will be the same as "you" but it won't be aware of it. Just like you're not aware that you are the same "you" as everyone else and all the people who died before you were born. It's not reincarnation. It's just matter forming and having the complex brain function which gives rise to the experience of consciousness over and over again.

So don't worry. If your brain dies, your experience of consciousness dies. It will end. There's nothing else. It's guaranteed.

life or consciousness spontaneously arising, the conditions that allowed life to emerge in the first place were extremely specific. Life as we know it arose from billions of years of chemical evolution under unique conditions on Earth—right elements, energy sources, and an environment conducive to complex molecule formation.

For life or consciousness to arise again, those specific conditions would need to occur in exactly the right way. While the universe is vast, such conditions might be exceedingly rare. Additionally, the environment you were born into—the cultural, genetic, and social factors—was incredibly specific and unlikely to be replicated.

Philosophically, if you mean the "essence of you" spontaneously re-emerging after death, that seems less likely. If consciousness is a product of the brain's complex activity, once your brain ceases to function, your specific pattern of thought and self-awareness disappears. Even if similar conditions occurred somewhere else, it wouldn't necessarily recreate you.

That said, the universe operates on probabilities, and some people speculate about endless cycles of existence, multiverses, or quantum events making the re-emergence of life (or something like you) possible in some form. But scientifically, there's no evidence to suggest you'd consciously experience this or that it would involve "you" as you know yourself now.

the "problem of personal identity" and the nature of consciousness. If "you" were reconstructed atom by atom, exactly as you are now, it raises the question: would this new version of you actually be you, or just a perfect replica?

If it's reincarnation over and over you're worried about then- yes- that could very well be shit. We don't know for sure but, if that's true, we can assume we have already had millions, possibly billions of past lives. How many of them do you remember? I'm guessing none. I'm assuming the problems that are bothering you are coming from this life rather than a previous one. So- even if 'you' do come back- 'you' surely won't be 'you' anymore. You'll be someone new. New parents, new genes, new location. 'You' likely won't even remember your current life. So- maybe it's more about feeling sorry for them rather than a new you.

Plus, there would need to be billions of planet earths if you needed to be born to the same parents- to account for all the different timelines. Or else- what happens when a child dies before its parents here? How can it be born to the same parents on a duplicate planet earth if their souls of their parents are still on this planet? How can 'you' really be 'you' in a totally different body, different genes, different brain?

If we can go to hell- do you suppose we've done enough in life to avoid it after natural death? I don't think I've lived a terrible life but I'm sure I've already done enough to piss God off. (If their even is one.) I'm guilty of their unforgiveable sin regardless in that I'm not convinced they even exist. I feel like I'm screwed either way- if there is a God.

If we are born in new bodies with no memories of past lives then i think it won't be so bad. it's like starting over. I think about if I were born into a loving family, a more beautiful face/body, with a sufficiently intelligent brain free from things like ADHD/Autism/Depression. For me these things would make a massive difference, not saying this is what I wish to happen though. I'd rather have eternal sleep and nothingness after death

i was just typing most of what you said, you put it very eloquently. A Message scratched into a brick wall in the Auschwitz Camp by one of Hitler's victims was: "if there is a god, he'll have to beg for my forgiveness". I still think about that statement from time to time. We are probably in hell already

If this was real a lot more people on earth would remember their "old lives".

"Reincarnation" is a human and religious construct to make people fearful and obeying the rulers fearing that their lives after death can be even worse. There neither proof nor disprove of it. There's most likely no reincarnation.

Anything outside our own mind is unsure; the external world and other minds cannot be known and might not exist outside our mind. So it could be that the external world including death is only an illusion and we will never be able to escape from the matrix. The free will is most likely an illusion too and we are rather watching a video than acting in a video game. From this point of view, how we live and die has no impact on the video we live in and it is not worth to think about it.

Thankfully there is no hell or reincarnation. These are just human made concepts with no evidence attached to it. Sure, we don't definitively know what happens after death but we should always follow the evidence instead of our personal beliefs. So far, the evidence claims that death is just permanent non existence. We could constantly worry about what happens after death and claim that it's unknown all we want but, at the end of the day, we won't make progress by being stuck with this type of mindset. Just follow the evidence as it is and you'll be fine

I understand as personally I just don't want to suffer in any way at all I just want nothingness instead, I'd never wish to exist in this horrific world, to exist will always be something so dreadful and torturous to me, I just want to die in peace and never suffer ever again.

Extreme Pain is much worse than people know

All I am is this brain. There is no soul nor anything outside of this brain that constitutes me .

There is no hell nor reincarnation nor computer simulation nor afterlife

I know this existence is only my brain. There is no soul nor outside simulation nothing

Many reasons why this is true . For example no evidence for a soul but many books of evidence that a human is cells a brain.

One can spend literally years every day reading different books about the brain , cell biology, evolution, biology, psychology , and others every page every line in any of those books further strengthens the others and the truth of what a human is a brain cells chemistry reactions, life is cells chemistry reactions

Only this brain creates a kind of simulation already of a viewer that is able to be immersed in extreme torture . A brain that is capable of suffering unending constant unbearable pain : this is what we constantly are taught is wonderful beautiful important valuable sacred good. To me it's just that extreme torture it can produce at any moment, a horrific abomination

But another question I've asked is why would a god or programmer create so much unbearable suffering? There is no logical reason for the extreme torture that is possible for years. Then to say 90 years one lifetime of this suffering is not enough .... I'll never believe

As someone that does magick and is into occultism, reading enough NDE(near-death-experince) or OBE(out of body experiences) you will probably notice that most have "life changing experiences" or that they saw a whole new world which is understandable, the important thing is that consciousness without a body (vessel) is different from consciousness with a body, you could very well argue that the body weights you down with depression (made by ideas, spiritual situation and body chemistry), fears, traumas and many things are not carried over to the realm of subtle energy, there is a end to physical if you die, after all,the vessel changes and your world view changes along with it (the world view being a unison of many things that form you rn)
