• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

It is only my Youtube statistics. I listen to downloaded music way way more. I don't use Spotify why should I? Less songs and it costs money. Downloading music takes time though (but is legal when it is a Youtube converter)

Again as in 2023 the song I listened the most to is: nineteen of Lil Peep. Actually there are better versions of this song in my opinion but the official version is boosted by the algorithm. On Youtube I listened to it 433 minutes,

I listened to 398 different songs. I listened 19.758 minutes to music. Roughly 329 hours. Lil Peep artist most listened to 44 hours.
2% of all songs that I listened to were optimistic. I am so proud of that. (I love emo rap)

I also only use YouTube for my music since Spotify likely doesn't have most of whatever I feel like listening.

Near the middle of the year was when I tried to experiment a little by checking the same artist who sang the Sonic Frontiers boss music. I even managed to be a top listener of his band in September according to this badge:

I put in the same link as you, but it doesn't work, probably because I don't use the proper YT Music ever~
Anyways, Sonic music is quite nice~ :) altho I never really listen or pay attention to the new stuff anymore, I listened to the "peak" parts of those songs, and "Break Through It All" doesn't sound too bad~ :)

Yeah i think it only works with the actual YouTube Music app sadly but it still uses the data from regular YouTube at least.

I racked up 17,680 minutes of listening and explored 862 different tracks

My top artist was Machune Girl (33 hours, 55 songs)

I'm also in the top 0.2% of The Garden listeners

I don't know why Katya Lel is apart of my top artists since I've only ever listened to one song by her.

Spotify doesn't cost money if you're willing to listen to adverts- fewer than YouTube though- in my experience. An advert break every 3 songs on Spotify (on average it seems.) YouTube quite often seems to have them at the start and end- although, I guess you have the option to skip them. Each to their own though. I listen to music on YouTube too. It's just less 'hands free' I find. It keeps prompting whether I'm still listening. Spotify feels more like the radio in a way but, we all have our own preferences I guess.

I actually already pay for Youtube Premium so I don't get the ads either. It's nice having background play on too.

That's cool. Is it a lot? I tend to limit myself to one subscription service at a time. It's Netflix at the moment... I might be switching to Amazon Prime soon though. I thought YouTube looked kind of pricey the last time I looked. I agree though. I love to have stuff on in the background. I really struggle without it in fact.

It is a little expensive, like over $20 a month, but I'm on a family plan which has like five other people on it so I'd say it's pretty worth it. Most of the other subscriptions I have are split with other people too.

YouTube Premium in the UK costs ÂŁ12 per month for individual plan
i just sign up to Premium for 1 month free of charge i can say it's definitely worth it

I hope you use an ad-blocker. Oh it is already mentioned.

I am glad ad-blocker still work on Youtube. I don't want to pay for Youtube premium

They actually plan on rolling out ads on YouTube premium now, so it would have been a waste of money anyway

That would be so foul. I only got YouTube Premium in the first place because I kept getting bombarded by horror movie ads. If this is true I'd have to cancel.
