• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I mean what shall one do with the minor? Should there be a punishment and how should that look like?

I read an article on the 764 community.

It was published in a German magazine it won't be a great help if I link it.

A 15 year olf girl wanted to impress the community by encouraging others into suicide. She encouraged an 18 year old young man to self-immolate. And they celebrated his suicide which he livestreamed in their chats.

The mother of this young man was not angry at her. She rather felt compassion for her. She thinks the older people in this community are responsble instead. This mother shows real strength. At the end of the article this woman described that she tries to move on but says she will be haunted forever by her guilt.

Does she deserve of what she is getting? Will the guilt punish her enough?

I would not be surprised if such an individual might end up on here.

If you have police in your country you should report it and also you should probably call the local news station to make sure police doesn't ignore it. Doesn't matter whether you know the girl personally or not.y

This girl should go either to a mental ward or to a juvenile detention center. Not as a punishment but because she is not fit for the society. She needs professional help.

The fuck. It always baffles me at how minors get special treatment compared to anybody else. I understand that people are more biased for minors since people perceive them as innocent and all but, ugh, in this case, she definitely should have been treated like how an adult in that situation would get treated.

Damn, girls can be the absolute worst.
What does this even have to do with gender? What a fucking weird thing to fixate on.

Anyway, I think it would probably be best to get her professional help or something. I don't think that most people, especially someone that young, in particular, would act in such a manner out of nowhere. There is likely something deeper going on that we don't know about. I don't say this excuses her actions, btw, as they aren't excusable in the slightest bit. Rather, I feel like people are very quick to slap a label on someone and hyperfocus on punishment and vengeance despite it rarely doing much to get us anywhere. While she should definitely go to juvenile detention for what she did, I would also hope that she is given access to some rehabilitation treatments too.

Self explanatory.
What exactly is self-explanatory here? The point is that you are fixating on an irrelevant detail. Their gender makes no difference in this situation so it's weird to specifically comment on it.

It's so scary when children or young adults get involved in very violent, sadistic crime. I definitely think this girl would need assessing and monitoring because I doubt this level of sadism is going to be a one off.

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion because it would be a massive infringement of privacy rights but I strongly think, when an individual has posed a sigificant threat to the community. Either participating in or encouraging acts of violence, engaging in peadophilia etc- their internet activity ought to be constantly monitored to flag any future problematic tendencies/ behaviour.

One of the most shocking cases in the UK was the murder of two year old James Bulger by two ten year old boys. One of them was later released with a new identity but was re-arrested for making indecent images and possessing a paedophile manual.

Why they aren't closely monitored for the rest of their lives, I don't know. It seems too risky to believe some people will reform. Obviously, after serving their term, they need some trust and freedom but I think it's a huge disservice to the community to just assume they'll not re-offend and not be monitoring them. How many killers have been released only to kill again?

Maybe this girl hasn't killed but, there's something pretty wrong to be trying to get people to set themselves on fire.

The instinct is that people don't get that screwed up at age 15 unless something is really wrong in their situation. I had a similar reaction to that recent shooting in Wisconsin. I hate that minors are pushed to being in such distressed mental states.

Because gender has been brought up, I'll say there is definitely different perception based on both race and gender. Having worked in a courthouse in an area that is largely non-white, it is a shame that there is instinctively more empathy shown for a minor committing a crime if they are a white girl than a boy in the ghetto, but that's a separate conversation.

So . . . do I think she should get "special treatment?" I guess not because I think our justice system should be more focused on rehabilitation generally, but I don't think she should just be locked in a cell forever. Some sort of juvenile detention center where she can get therapy and realize how screwed up she's gotten would be ideal imo. I know it is not that easy. I know that there are flaws there, but that's where my mind goes. Society, family, etc., failed this girl to get her to be so awful and twisted.
