  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I wish there was a day centre like a psych ward but drop in where you could go when bored and lonely.

I've been thinking about NA but not in my area (and I don't like it)
I go to the library
I could go to the pub, but don't really drink and scared of being hit on which happened last time
I will look for meet ups
Sometimes I think about joining a cult (half joking)
I will look for volunteering

I don't have suicidal thoughts today which is unheard of for me, but just feel so bored. I don't really have anything to talk about so somewhere to just be with others with no pressure, like a psych ward lounge…

Every day is the same, just kerping alive and so bored qnd lonely…

I wanted to become a monk but all the monastic orders in my country are Catholic so that won't work for me... Such a pity.

There are healthy intentional communities out there! Non cultish ones, much less so than your average corporate workplace. Of course, it helps to analyze them thoughtfully, like you would any group

Maybe you can wear an engagement ring ?

I know how you feel. I spend my entire day watching movies , watching youtube , scrolling through social media and SaSu. Rinse and repeat . I have distanced myself from everyone but rarely hang out with a friend when isolation becomes very tough.
My physical ailment prevents me from playing sports, trekking, running etc . Maybe you can do something on those lines.

I don't know. I was in a therapy cult years ago. Spent 1000s. Thought it was the answer to everything.

I live in a city and not sure there are any near me.
@epic that made me laugh about the ring. And also a great idea :)
the therapy cult would make me feel better for about two or three days and then the depression returned. I used to wish I could bottle the effect of it. They used a lot of trance stuff - like holotrophic breathing and people sitting in circles talking about stuff. The person who ran it used to say 'this is not a cult' but it absolutely was...just a cult she made money from.

You're kind of in a cult already here on SS.. at least that's what those pro-lifers say about us:/

I go between having suicidal thoughts and being bored to.. I have for many years:( I don't talk to people most days..
I wish I could go to a group to for support.. but I'm too scared.. I have agoraphobia😖

I wish we had a real life SS support group!

I went to a few pubs the other week while out of town. It was really nice. Definitely wear a ring and if someone does hit on you go to the bathroom for a few minutes until they're gone if they don't give it up right away.

Also bring a book.

I also don't know what to do, feeling lonely.
I live in the countryside, not many people around. Might go in a short walk in the woods, while the sun is shining, but two days ago a man with his wife was attacked by a bear, it wasn't far away from my location. I saw one bear last fall, he was standing on a path i was on. I'll probably ask a girl on a date next week, just not sure what to do until then.
