• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I have spent most of this evening writing my note(s). One for my mum, one for my friends, and one for the authorities (giving my name, address, and contact information of those I wish to be informed). I want the first two to be as detailed and warm as possible, ideally avoiding too much "I'm sorry" and "please forgive me". I've talked about memories together, qualities I admire in those people... What else do you think would be good to include?

For some reason I also found myself writing about my time with my late partner. I don't know who that section is aimed at. I guess I just don't want our love to be forgotten, even if it did end in tragedy.

If anything, writing these notes has again strengthened my resolve to go through with my plan. I thought I would feel a desire to back out while writing, but quite the opposite. Has anyone else experienced this?

I found this thread really useful with helping me write my note if it gives you any pointers :)

I guess the tricky thing regarding what else could be included is that the notes we write are very personal to us and those that are being left behind. So, it's quite hard to offer advice on as what could be helpful, as what is good contents for a note varies from person to person.
That being said, I think what you've included seems okay and does sort of match up with what I'm currently writing. I personally am including a "why" section. It's quite hard to do, as I want to write it in a way where it's just an explanation so people can understand my actions, instead of it ending up being me passing on blame. However, I personally think it's helpful in trying to ensure nobody feels responsible for what happens, and can instead realise it was fully my decision.

Honestly, I've found writing my note quite conflicting at times. Like, it brings me a sense of peace to know I'm genuinely wrapping things up by leaving something behind to help others understand (unlike before when I attempted without writing notes and caused massive fallout to those around me). At the same time, it is a major step towards death. Part of this makes me agree that it strengthens your resolve, but it also is quite a sobering reminder of our mortality and just how major the decision to follow through with any plans are.

Yes, when you write a note you are reinforcing the idea of CTB.

I agree with you. I would avoid writing harsh words
A warm word is fine :)
